    Oh really? I taught myself how to touch type and this is exactly how I do it. And everyone thought I was weird (mostly correct, anyway.)

    Apparently the filter in conventional coffee makers takes out most of the cafestol. I used to filter the stuff that came out of my french press using those for a while (don't know if it does anything besides remove the muck at the bottom.) There's also a french press that has a built in filter specifically designed to remove cafestol while retaining the taste, I forgot the name though,.

    Congratulations on defending a machine that can eat discs even when the system is not in motion. It's totally the user's fault.

    The definition of Asperger's is so broad that it's entirely too easy to diagnose incorrectly unless you specialize in treating such conditions.

    Disks aren't particularly fast, either. The swapping method Windows uses is horrible compared to the one in Linux, which also happens to be adjustable by the user. I think it would help if Windows tried to use the disk LESS until the user requests it, not more.

    Yes, documented "patterns" can be used for design ideas, but when I hear people gushing nothing but buzzwords, I worry that there is a tendency to take it to the extreme - trying to fit problems within the parameters of a developer's favorite pattern rather than using the patterns to aid design decisions.

    Except MySQL supports permissions for user accounts, which includes restricting the use of the "drop table" command.

    It's funny if they were being stingy with memory usage and *finally* decided to use an 8-bit integer to store the number of installed processors. You know, like that would have been a monumental concern.

    Needing some hp, I hit use. The camera drops halfway to the ground as if my character was crouching. There's a slurping sound. I'm baffled as to what's happening until my horrified fiancee, watching beside me, declares, "Oh my god, you just drank from a urinal."

    Oh, I just thought my character had horrible aim..

    I couldn't play the original games because they just constantly assaulted you with mountains of text. Fallout 3, however, is amazing.

    I used to use bookmarks before Awesome Bar but I never actually used them since they were a huge mess. I now keep more bookmarks since the Awesome Bar makes it so much easier to find everything.
