That's ok. I have to type in the administrator password every time I want to change files outside of my user directory. All you have to do is press a button. I think you have gotten too comfortable running windows as root for too long.
That's like having an employee who regularly screws up but their employer decides to keep them because of that one time when they did something right. Is there any actual proof (more than one) that even more monitoring will actually do anything good?
Well, it can really help sometimes. I only focus on one thing at a time because I get distracted easily. Switching tasks after trying to solve a problem for several hours can help as you might accidentally think of a different approach while taking a break to do something else.
Huh?
This reminds me of the incident where our mother in law asked a group of us if we were high because she seriously thought we were "laughing too much."
Facinating thing reading; you use your mind to generate the special effects and in spite of no ability to run the film fast, change hue and color depth to things never found in reality, and above all: not need to leave a cliff hanger for a general apeal for brighter teeth, or some poorly built automobile.
They probably understand words if they sound familiar enough. I didn't mean to say they're completely stupid but I'm not convinced they actually understand their owner's spoken language.
Oh yes, Dogs are certainly intelligent. Our dog seems to understand quite well that pooping in the house is a BAD thing, but I think you've got this "understanding language" thing wrong. Training dogs is a combination of body language and vocal commands. Dogs will build a "dictionary" over time that maps your commands to desired actions, but I seriously doubt they understand your language at all. They might sometimes SEEM to understand what you're saying, but you two are also living together closely so the intent of body language from either end will become quite apparent.
No, one of the problems is how would you know that you retain your consciousness once you reach the other end? If a copy was successfully made the answer would obviously be "yes," but who would be responding to that question? It would be impossible to know since the entities before and after teleportation are both conscious and self aware but is the copied entity really the same as the original (that is the original still conscious?) No one knows how people's consciousness actually works; as far as everyone can tell, they suddenly came into existence out of nowhere because they can't explain it. This is why people have a concept of a soul to try and explain something we have no actual understanding of.
Shoes and clothes are something that almost always require me to go to a store. Not only is the experience of browsing fun but it's hard to judge how things will fit without physically trying them on. Online shopping is not going to replace things like this for the most part.
If you're restricted into saving less often then it can make games more interesting. Bioshock would have been less of a joke on hard if the ability to save and load at any point in time was removed. It has its problems but I think it's actually an interesting element of design.
That is incredibly annoying when you have enough room to merge in dense traffic, turn on your signal, and then.. the person behind you tries to close the gap before you get a chance to move. Also trucks seem to like to accelerate towards your bumper if they think you're going "too slow" when changing lanes.
Yeah, this is about as annoying as when people in online games keep saying they're "lagging" when they really mean the game is starting to run slowly and not that they're experiencing severe network latency issues.
Compared to the earlier Metroid Prime games, it really held your hand the whole way through. Seriously, it's basically always "suggesting" where you should go next after you complete your current goals.
Well, it does a good job of getting its message across: "Math is hard"
Or anyone who took time to learn C properly. Doing some assembly wouldn't hurt either.
It's only Stockholm Syndrome if they are being forced to use it by their employers. Or some unknown outside force.
AVG is awesome for home users. I really should send them money sometime.
Exercising and limiting the amount of junk you eat.
That's why the Jet Car will be invented shortly after

Any details on the stuff that was removed? I poked around with the services for a bit but only found obvious things like UPnP and remote registry.

Yes, amazing thing this.. "imagination.."
It's not when you're trying to make your now "broken" site work correctly with IE

That should be shortest path. Clearly ice cream is not helping me think.
Enter list online and have the cart calculate the shortest distance to each item in the store based on its current location
I think it would be more distracting when the engineers start having races with them

I always seem to read Large Hadron Collider as "Large Hardon Collider." Not sure how that's related to science.
