I've found that in the past 5 or 6 years I have not had to replace a *SINGLE* CFL. However, I have had to replace almost every incandescent I own and the few that remain are special (like the big globe lights in the bathroom or bulbs connected to dimmer switches).
I've lived in 3 places, two of which have had terrible power.
I can also go to Sam's Club and buy 6 (maybe it was even 8) 60w CFL equivalents for about $4.
Every one of my family members is behind a firewall. Every single damn time I go home I have to spend hours rebuilding their computers because they've been compromised yet again.
Burglarizing a house is a physical act that requires you to go there and put yourself in great physical danger. Breaking into a computer is as easy as a few clicks on a keyboard.
They are not the same thing. A firewall is NOT enough, and it is NOT comparable to a locked front door.

Tron is a product of its time. I can look back at the movie today, and you know what, despite some of the cheesy special effects and acting, I still think it's a pretty damn good movie. Is it the best move ever? No. But it's enjoyable, and fun, and that's all that matters.
They're pretty dumb, and they're pretty nasty. One got into a fight with my three dogs a few weeks ago. It ended with a late night trip to the emergency vet for one of them. I can't imagine it ended well for the opossum, but it was dark and I couldn't really see the outcome of the fight, I could only hear it.
Lesson #1 in life... if you hear a thump and three angry dogs start barking, DO NOT run straight towards them.
I love my iPad. I would have never bought one if my boss hadn't offered to buy one for all of us, but now that I have it you can't pry it out of my hands.
Not everything is perfect. I really wish it had 2GB of RAM so I could switch between a few Safari tabs without having to constantly reload them, I wish it had a matte screen, I wish I could dim the screen even more at night, and I wish it had a front facing camera, but these are all problems I can live with or work around for now.
I will most likely buy the next version assuming they improve on some of these issues.
Funny. It's all anecdotal though. I'm on Clear right now in North Chicago and I routinely see 500k+/sec downloads. I've seen the speed tests get as high as 11mbps down, and 1.5mbps up, which in my opinion is pretty damn good for a wireless connection.
There are definitely some areas where it sucks (Riverside has terrible coverage), but I've found it to be fantastic, hardly ever cutting out and even when it's running slower than usual it's still faster than what I had with an AT&T DSL line.
I have Clear. It's vastly superior to my AT&T DSL line in every single way except for latency (which isn't bad at all). I won't be playing online first person shooters, but other than that it's good enough. In fact, it's better. Much better.
SageTV is a buggy piece of crap as well. I ran it for a year, went back to MythTV. If I'm going to be working around stupid bugs, I might as well at least have the code available.
Dude, our lockers started rattling! My 4th grade teacher, who had just moved from California FREAKED. I guess she though she finally escaped them. The rest of us were like "wtf was that?"
What happens is eventually they add enough capacity and enough customers that the data centers themselves have no yearly peak. Amazon may peak in December, but NBC may peak in August during the Olympics. Over the course of the year, everybody's peaks average out to no peak.
I've had many iterations of hardware over the last 7 years. Trust me, it's not the hardware. I've spent more money on hardware for this thing than I ever should have.
I ran MythTV for six years. The last year I've used SageTV. I got sick of MythTV locking up, crashing, and the constant non-stop twiddling with my configuration because I could never get things quite right.
SageTV isn't much better. I spend a lot less time twiddling, but it crashes and freezes about as often as MythTV used to. I'm still looking for that HTPC that just works. I haven't found it yet.
Your family sucks. My family, I'd give my Mom a list of games I wanted in the order I wanted them and my family would work their way down the list.

There is. It sucks. Google is better.
No. It means that somebody who works at Sony published the key and will likely be fired for misuses of company resources.
I agree. I draw the line at Uwe Boll.

Do what I do. Run your own person wiki.

Or you could just go get lunch while it downloads. You're making it too difficult for yourself.

The only bike I want is Kaneda's bike.

Look, it's pretty simple.

And it's portable.
4g is the real deal. I am not going back.
You do have a choice. Get a new job.

Yeah, probably. Serenity kinda sucked. The show was better than the movie.
Yes, but it only takes an hour to navigate the screens to find the movie you want because the UI is so frickin slow. Great device, bad execution.
In the real world, we call this form of incentive "Money", not "XP".
Your memory is nearly 10x the size of your database. Come back when your database is 1000x the size of your RAM.
"Claimed?"

We definitely felt it, no doubt about it.
Brooklyn, OH represent!
