well yeah, but when you say "gigahertzes," you sound like Gollum, which.... umm.... actually is pretty cool now that I think about it. Say it with me kids....
Well, you know how reticent they are towards adapting to new technologies. Sure, a small innovation here (1.1) or there (1.5.2), but moving on to a new version took a big leap. That leap was iTunes.
That's what you might think. But you're not taking into account the ninja hackers who boot up your PC while you sleep and install all sorts of nasty virii onto your machine. And they bring their own Enter keys!
Well, I know that I've walked out of a theatre a few times wanting to immediately get a DVD and see the movie again. On occasions such as those, I'd certainly have the desire to buy it right then and there.
And as a musician, this is a concern for me. How long will my CD's last? I hope to someday be able to purchase a record cutter. Vinyl LP's will last a very long time if stored properly. Look at the vintage vinyl industry. Beatles records from the 60's are still playable 40 years on, but CD's made in the 80's may already be subject to CD rot.
They haven't changed the default, at least as far as I see. The one that I downloaded still defaulted to MSIE, so I changed it manually. But I guess if it's still ID'ing as Opera either way, that shouldn't really matter.
They're also still charging for "Premium Support," roughly the same price as the registration fee. And of course, the forementioned other platforms (eg, cell phones).
I didn't find any info at www.nameofthatthing.com either. In fact, looks like the domain isn't even registered. No wonder!
I just checked Go Daddy's website. It seems that they've lowered it to $7 a year. Not great, but better than $9.

Some folks like it that way.
No rebooting? But when will I have time to make my sandwich? Microsoft is trying to kill me! By starvation!
Dude, you forgot "Profit!" It's "oblig.", remember?
a few of them, I thought, looked like car CD decks. or CD-ROM drives.

gigahertzes!
I got a mint condition 3rd Century Roman Empire(tm) if you're interested. New in box! Never been breathed on!
I actually wonder about some of those -stan prefixed former Russian countries...do they exist?
Like -stanUkraine? Or -stanGeorgia? Hmm. Not sure, but I think they're fake.
Most searches ignore the word 'the.' So you're out of luck.

If it gets mad at you, it won't let you in. Remember kids, intelligent doors require intelligent users!
Call them ... 'fat clients'
I'd prefer the term 'metabolically-challenged clients.' Please be considerate of others' feelings.
Does anyone know if Apple Records still exists?
Sure does. Look at your Beatles CD's. The Beatles started the label, so as long as they're still around, Apple Recs will be.
viruses, eh? all right then. I stand corrected. thank you. (I enjoy using proper grammar)
You wouldn't call refusing to breathe "holding yourself to a high standard of conduct",
People can actually live without cursing. Breathing, on the other hand.... that's harder to live without.

Fight fire with fire, and dolphins with dolphins.
But you could just send out the exploding whales first and save a step. Wouldn't want to waste a set of robot sharks.
It keeps going..... and going..... and going..... and going.....

People should pay to see the Opera!
Yeah, definitely. I can't stand to see all the singers running around with cell phone ads on their costumes!
