    Yeah, individual apps might be keyboard friendly, but OSX itself is far from it. I would say it's worse than linux in that regard.

    There is no Windows 7 upgrade price. You buy a copy of windows 7. No difference between an upgrade and a new install. Also, I believe when XP upgrades existed, they were valid for everything above Windows 95? Someone could correct me.

    My guess is that a large amount of music is fingerprinted either by the labels or identifiable because there are probably not that many unique rips of music out there, so most copies can be identified as downloaded. I would definitely read a EULA before letting apple scan your music.

    not necessarily. you can use an existing employee as an unwitting vector by infecting an employee's pc who transfers work documents back and forth between work and home via usb key.

    so not just no internet access, you also need defined protocols for any media used

    I imagine that a throat slit really just feels like a deep cut. Not actually that painful. Blood rushing out causes a drop in blood pressure and temperature causing you to feel a little cold while you pass out. I think it would feel like if you gave too much blood. A simple cut will not be that much more painful, especially compared to a low powered rifle (maybe not a high powered one?)

    I did it for fun, just because newer Javascript Engines are fast enough to do complicated things. Real use could be: Benchmarking of Javascript engines (how much time takes your Javascript engine to boot Linux ?). For this particular application, efficient handling of 32 bit signed and unsigned integers and of typed arrays is important. Client side processing using an x86 library, for example for cryptographic purposes. For such application, the x86 emulator can be modified to provide an API to load x86 dynamic libraries and to provide a js-ctypes like API to call the C/C++ functions from javascript. A more advanced version would allow to use old DOS PC software such as games.

    Did you read the article? While this isn't the same as a raised button, it is definitely a form of tactile feedback. I think the biggest issue with this form though is that it only appears to work for one finger.
