And what is so bad about the OSS news ? I like very much to hear about such things. I also live in a poor country and use OSS. And YES for us who didn`t have money it`s very important that we have an alternative choise and love to hear about it improved, promoted and distributed.
Have any of you noticed the the hardware producers are standing in the way of open source software ? If you intend to install a Linux BSD or SunOS, drivers for the videocard`s, LAN card`s, TV Tuners, digital camera`s are very hard to find. On the driver CD suplied by the vendor you will find only drivers for Windows. So the point of this news should be not who are able to distribute the firmwares then why are they not suplied by the vendor on the install CD and why can`t they be included in the OS.
I heard a joke related to this someday. its sound like this: -Mr. President, national security cheff to the US President, the russians ar plenning to send their astronauts to paint the moon into red.
-No problem, sad the president, we will send than our astronauts and paint a "Coca~Cola" logo into the middle.
I was waiting for this moment for a lot of time. Google have so many features, but it was missing the page that put them all together. Have a directory, stock market feeds, dedicate search for Linux, email, free blog and lots more... Oh yeah and don`t forget about google adsense and adwords
I am using SuSE 9.3 Pro whit ZEN but just for a few days. Anyway i was using SuSE 9.2 and i can say that the YOU(Yast Online Update) is working just fine.
If you intend to use Free Software use Ubuntu is free for home or comercial use as well. Just try it it has even free shipping.
4. And the next reason is that Red Hat will never sell. I meen they have work they way up to the top just to sell everything. In a few years M$ will forget that they have ever make server OS, so i understand why they intend to buy:)
One of my google accounts have just been closed [maybe temporary]. First i was thinking that gmail is just down, but then i realised that any other user can login from my computer just fine, excepting mine. [I know it`s troll but i am to mad and i have to let it out]
Insted of making a corection to the way other people spell english maybe you shuld contribute whit something intresting and more related to the news. Btw. here you can find a detailed list of the new features, whit screenshots, which i think the most intresting is the new Safari web browser whit built in RSS, is not a new thing in browsers but i think this is the first time a built in browser has this feature.
Is interesting, but of course you know that means that if he could hack his self out other willcan hack in, so waiting for the upcoming exploits and patches;)
M$IE Sucks no mather what, whit css2 support or whitout. In just 1 year firefox has got at least 15% of the browsers usage from 0. In the next 2 years people will forget forever his M$IE.
I am a big fan of the KDE Descktop and i am very happy to hear that ubuntu is having a release whit a kde desktop, Ubuntu Linux speed combined whit the beauty of KDE can bring this lilte distro to get listed in the major distro`s category. I am hoping the best for Ubuntu, i realy enjoy it.

I think is a very god piece of hardware but at that price ($1,799.00), i think that a few years will have to pass until we`ll start using it at home.

This is also true for suse 9.0 released in 2003.

Is incredible how powerfull can the human brain be. If these people can do that imagine what could Einstein do ?
