    --Go in there with a give-em-hell attitude, and be bold about what needs to be fixed. That way you stick out. If they like you, there might be a promotion. If they don't like you, well... You came in the door prepared.

    --Perhaps it may be seen as unfortunate that it was not used for its intended purpose. However, since they are now on display, you have the opportunity to see one up close. I highly recommend you make the trip to either Alabama or Florida if you've never seen one in person.

    --The sheer SIZE and SCALE of these rockets will absolutely knock your socks off, and hopefully inspire new wonder and newfound zeal for the space program. We 'Mericans like our Cars big, our Toys big, and by thunder, our Rockets big too!

    --Most people don't take into account that the Saturn series was NOT REUSABLE. AFAIK, the only part that re-entered the atmosphere was the capsule containing the astronauts. Go see one of these Saturns in person, and *then* tell me we should resurrect the Saturn (throw all that material away into space once more, never to be seen again) instead of developing an alternative.

    --Give me a Space Elevator, a Space Plane, and a Hilton on the Moon instead of resurrecting decades-old tech, any day.

    --You and I (and others) can appreciate the finer points of kung-fu fighting, especially when it is done with Elegance and a minimalist style - that is true mastery of the Art. Unfortunately this kind of Art is completely beyond George Lucas's ken. To him, it has to be Big, Flashy, and Exaggerated.

    --I'll agree with you there. Couldn't the original extras/voices in the SW films sue Lucas for doing this? He's actually screwing with people who should get proper credit (and their "15 minutes of fame") for being in the original version of the film. "Dude, I was a stormtrooper in teh original, until that bastard Lucas edited me out!"

    --You're on my Friends list, Wil; but I have to say that Insurrection ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120844/ ) was the Worst Trek Movie EVAR. I saw it once and hope to **never** see it again. IIRC, that was the one where they "had to" control the Enterprise in an emergency situation with a freaking M$ JOYSTICK! WTF?!?!

    --Actually STV:The Final Frontier had some good quotes in it. A Christian band called Mortal (now sadly defunct) picked up some of Shatner's and D.Kelley's lines and mixed them into their songs. I've seen every other ST movie multiple times and intend to do so again, but not for Insurrection.

    --BTW: ST Wrath of Khan(II), Voyage Home(IV), First Contact(8), and Nemesis are my favorite ST films, in approx that order. (You *have* to admit that Tom Hardy **nailed** that role.)

    --I'm still a bit miffed that they only gave you a cameo in Nemesis, but hopefully you'll get a chance to explain the things that have been happening to your character a bit more in teh next film.

    --I played it on an old Mac once. The part that put me into a rage was when your character was knocked out, and I tried everything under the SUN to get him to wake the hell up. Nothing worked until the guy that owned the game gave me the hint that it was one of the 5 senses, so I finally typed "smell" and the game woke him up. Needless to say, I wanted to kick the programmer in the nads for being such a narrowminded idiot. The game wouldn't even give you a hint!

    --An interesting idea, but I don't think it's that easy to just "stop the clockworks" for 39m. Remember, he's adapting existing watches at the moment. That's why I suggested the extended clock face for rev 2; the works would continue to run normally, but it has to sweep through the extra minutes instead of just the standard 12h.

    --This proposed implementation is probably easier to do digitally, but I'd still like to see it in analog form because to me it would be more "correct" than losing seconds.
