Over the last few years he's played an important, though rarely seen, character on Fringe... but in two cases they resorted to CG animations (one of which was turned into an amusing, most-of-episode gimmick) and in one case another actor channeled him in a much more literal way than the Hollywood norm.
Even better, it was a *female* actor (Anna Torv) who "channeled" him and did a pretty good job of it too.
The iCloud syncing part of iTunes will be free. It's only the service which matches ripped files in your library to the iTunes store which costs. So the GP's point still stands.
There are still designers who size text as if everybody has perfect 20/20 or better eyesight. The images are fine, I just want to make the damn text bigger so I don't have to squint.
It's distracting. Especially with the laptops, where Apple plasters a large illuminated logo on the back. It pulls me out of the movie and makes me think about Apple for a few seconds. In my opinion, they should cover up the brand entirely. As much as I'm a tech guy, I really don't need to know what brand of computer the guy in the movie is using, unless it has something to do with the narrative.
So they should cover up all the brands everywhere in the movie? Oh no, he's drinking a Pepsi! Oh no, he's driving a Ford!
You know what you are? You're an anti-fanboy. And you're just as bad as the fanboys.
What happens when eventually, every electronic device you owns fail and they won't repair it for free? Will you stop using electronic devices? I had a Sony TV that lasted for 13 years and it recently broke, I'll never buy that company again!!!
There's a difference between 4 months and 13 years...
SpamSentry is a great tool for detecting and blocking spam whispers/tells/etc and making it easy to report them via a GM ticket with one click. I am assuming that it will be updated for the 2.1 spam reporting feature as well.
Rendezvous is based on a few underlying services: Dynamic Configuration of IPv4 Link-Local Addresses, Multicast DNS, and DNS-based Service Discovery.
Dynamic Configuration of IPv4 Link-Local Addresses: In the absence of a DHCP server, the machine is able to configure itself with an IP address in a reserved range such that it doesn't clash with other IP addresses configured by other machines on the same network in a similar manner.
Multicast DNS: Multicast DNS Responder services on each machine respond to multicast queries for their DNS information.
For instance the original Safari installer copied files and then unmounted the DMG file. I may be wrong but I believe this isn't possible with CDs. It appears to be a feature of the latest version of Disk Copy (which mounts DMGs) and is an undocumented feature Apple has used for some of its installers.
It is not the end of the world, because MacOS X people do not seem to have a problem distinguishing file management from web browsing.
That would be because MacOS X people use two entirely different applications for file management and web browsing: Finder and Safari/IE:mac/Omniweb/Chimera.
This I believe is the fundamental problem with both GNOME's and KDE's combined file manager/web browser. It's very confusing to have your filemanager suddenly decide to act as a web browser or file viewer.
She's not new but but I have read a number of books by Sheri S. Tepper and have enjoyed them all. All the stories have a feminist slant but generally that's half the fun;)
One thing I always like about her books is that nothing is as it seems -- there's always a twist or something hidden that just blows your mind when it's finally revealed.
A number of her books are related, not in a series as such, but more of the same universe type of relationship. One such cycle is Grass, Raising The Stones and Sideshow which feature some freaky fungi;)
Some titles:
Gibbon's Decline and Fall Grass Beauty The Visitor The Family Tree Singer From The Sea The Fresco Six Moon Dance The Awakeners: Northshore & Southshore (two books in one volume I think) Sideshow Raising The Stones
Moreover, you didn't answer all those options, only move versus copy - still missing alias and friends.
An alias (or shortcut as Windows calls it) can be created by holding down Ctrl+Shift when dragging.
Of course, copy is what you expect remotely. I don't understand why it isn't what you expect locally. On windows, btw, copy is default for all cases. At least that is consistent, and works with the principle of least surprise.
On Windows, move is the default when the source and destination are the same hard-drive. Otherwise it's copy. Except when it's an exe, then it creates a shortcut.
I've just finished reading a sci-fi anthalogy called Starlight 3, and one of the stories was "Power Punctuation" by Cory Doctorow (and I see now he's got an excerpt on his website).
The story is about a country boy working in a big corporation (File-Agator) in a world where corporations (Microsoft, literally) own cities and wage war on each other. The boy gets bumped up the corporate ladder on the whim of the CEO and stuff happens (don't want to ruin the story;).
I quite enjoyed the story and had a good laugh at the ending so I would say that this bodes well for the content of the blog.
I wouldn't agree. HTML and XML is not binary, it's still a text format. There are plenty of people who code HTML pages with vi (or the equivalent). I would say it's easily human readable AND it would be easily parseable by E as well as a Theme Builder program (for instance).
Anyone thinking of writing a ThemeBuilder? Easy GUI construction of configuration files, previewing without whacking your own desktop, etc?

Imagine that I have mod-points and that I am showering you with them.
You almost got me. Well played, sir.

", right? RIM? Bueller?"
What does that mean and why does he repeat it so often?
Ferris Bueller's Day Off: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091042/
Apple Cube G4 + Debian + dovecot + cable internet + DynDNS + registered domain = portable email that doesn't suck.
Meh, 7 months not 4 months.

Is that 1-866-MYVOTE1 or 1-866-MYVOTE0?

Multicast DNS: Multicast DNS Responder services on each machine respond to multicast queries for their DNS information.
DNS-based Service Discovery: Querying for the existence of services (HTTP, FTP, SSH, etc.) via DNS.
So, in a sense, "everything is a DNS/DHCP/Directory server" but only for the information and services provided by that particular machine.
... and it's 2 sequels, The Neutronium Alchemist and The Naked God. Absolutely brilliant scifi with a good dose of cyberpunk and horror.

I believe you will find this particular feature of Disk Copy documented here: Internet-Enabled Disk Images
Because IDEA kicks ProjectBuilder's whimpy ass all over the map when it comes to Java. Plain and simple.

Likewise for me as well. I haven't had any problems with Gandi except my inability to remember my password when it comes to renewing the domain... :P
