Placing it side by side with Bitstream Vera Sans Mono, almost all the characters are near-identical (though a bit lighter weight).
The only two that differ are the zero (made worse by the ellipse), and the lowercase i, improved by a nice rightwards curl.
I thought Google were refocusing Glass towards professional markets (it has a foothold in some medical and engineering places, where the price tag and style are less of an issue). So consumer Glass is on hold; pro Glass is moving forward nicely.

I second the motion for a tech scene in the lake district.
It does seem that (the London-based) politicians often forget that there is a whole country there outside of London.
Much of the tech industry in the UK is already based in London. If the government wants to support jobs in the sector, then it would do well to look elsewhere.
We're nerds, remember. We don't like the hustle and bustle!
It's a short story about the "Monte Carlo project" to randomly generate viruses. A pertinent quote:
The theory also included the best containment facilites in the world, and five hundred and twenty people all sticking scrupulously to official procedure, day after day, month after month, without a moment of carelessness, laziness or forgetfulness. Apparently, nobody bothered to compute the probability of that.
I have found one problem with open source toolchans - producing good quality graphics. At the end of the day you have to present the data, and gnuplot just isn't cutting it anymore.
Try R instead. It's FOSS and the graphics are fantastic. (I haven't used Mathematica, but the 2D plots are better than Matlab's. You can also easily link it up to ggobi or Mondrian for visualising multidimensional data.)
BEos and it's original hardware was the last, best hope for a solid, no B.S. modern computer that was re-designed from scratch for maximum performance with pre-emtpive multitasking.
BeOS isn't quite dead. Or at least, it died but the Haiku Project is an open source reincarnation of it.
There are thousands and thousands of films from the early to mid twentieth century, not to mention newsreels and other content, just rotting away. There isn't a huge market for any individual work, so publishers won't release them commercially, and no-one else can get at the content because of copyright. A project like this with an aim of getting content to everyone (rather than making profit) is an ideal way round this problem.
Okay, I've just had another quick play around with the GIMP, and maybe it's not quite as screwy as I'd previously thought. I did genuinely spend a long time fannying about with it last time, but perhaps I was just having a bad day.
Cheers for the link, I too have tried and failed with the GIMP. After hearing rave reviews about it, I recently downloaded a copy to give it a whirl.
My first task was to crop a bitmap image, and do some minor touching up. Pretty simple, it would have taken about 1 minute in even Paint, or some other hateful program.
However, in trying to figure out the GIMP's godawful interface, it took me over half an hour, and then I gave up. It goes well beyond kludgy, it's plain counter-intuitive.
Instead I downloaded a copy of Paint.NET, which is also free, and a damn sight more straightforward. Problem solved!
"Wii" only sounds rubbish if you pronounce it "Wee", like taking a piss. On the other hand, it you pretend it's a shortened version of "wifi", as in "Why Aye", then I think that's a lot cooler. Only trouble is, you're gonna confuse a lot of Geordies, who'll think you're just saying hello.
I could have easily written down every credit card number that was handed to me....
A guy I knew in school got a job at Barclaycard, and started doing just that. Whenever a customer phoned up to pay their bill, he'd note down the details and use the card himself. It wasn't very long before he got caught and thrown in jail...
Look at how often men masturbate when they can't shag, it doesn't serve any purpose except for feeling good.
Actually masturbating stimulates sperm production, which makes you more fertile for when you do get round to shagging, and consequently gives you an evolutionary advantage.
Jerk away!

Not that there's any rivalry between them and UAE, of course.

That's a really useful way of thinking of it. Also, I'd love for this explanation to appear on TV news.

Especially his "Cabinet of mathematical curiosities".
"The music of the primes", by Marcus de Sautoy, is also worth reading.

I think it's time you admit to yourself that the pr0n habit has gotten out of control...

is TRUE.
However, this value isn't equal to 2^1039 - 1.
The previous answer (=1.16e306) is between 2^1016 and 2^1017.
Market capitalisation of Sun Microsystems: $22Bn.
Market capitalisation of Apple, Inc: $79Bn.
I think it's more plausible that Apple buys Sun.
Certainly no problems with invasion of privacy there...

Or, um 'yes' even, rather than 'hello'.
Need more coffee, got to concentrate.

Alternatively, call your child Penis, and have the adult content filters remove all trace of their identity.

Not if you count in binary...
$200*2^10=not that much.
Gosh I'm feeling picky today.
