    In Seattle and nearby areas like SF, a lot of them are electric or hybrid electric, actually. Even fuel cells. It depends on which trucks and buses you refer to. A large number of the Seattle buses are fully electric, I can see about 20 out of my window on the streets right now.

    Adapt.

    Exactly. This was as a result of the 33 climate accord US states and the Canadian feds and provinces requiring they locally build EV trucks SUVs and cars and hybrids.

    We're winning. We are the market. When we say Jump, they say How high? Then we have an MJ party to celebrate.

    We are the economy.

    It was actually a business decision based on the combined US and Canadian states and provinces demanding locally built EV and hybrid fleet vehicles in most of the US economy (CA,OR,WA, and the NE states) and Canada (all the provinces and feds) that made this happen.

    Comrade T had nothing to do with this decision.

    FYI, it costs $150 to drill, process, and ship a barrel of oil from the Arctic. If you want to cover costs. Labor isn't cheap either.

    So, putting it off for at least five years makes sense. Increases short term price for all oil, which helps Norway, Scotland, Canada, and the US (and that rogue state Russia), and when the time elapses the demand may be at prices where it makes sense, if we need it for lubricants or some other need.

    Fun Fact: Alternative energy solutions will never come close to replacing fossil fuels for current American standard of living requirements. We will have to learn to live with less in the future if we make it that far.

    Bull. I literally replaced all my lights and fridge and washer and dryer with more efficient ones. I bought six solar panels.

    I pay very very little now.

    I haven't changed which lights I turn on. I haven't changed how many clothes I wear. In fact, my clothes wear out half as fast now.

    I SAVED MONEY.

    Just because you don't believe in capitalism but instead believe in Mercantilism, which the Father of Capitalism, Adam Smith, in his seven books, described as the Enemy of Capitalism, is not my problem.

    My friends drive electric cars. They get where they want and it costs them 1/20th to pay for that trip. The maintenance on their car is half as expensive.
