    1 million units? WTF?

There are what, 7 million World of Warcraft subscribers worldwide.
this is a system, not a game. And there's only going to be 1 million of them.

Sony is really going down the crapper. Which is a shame, because there are plenty of games that are exclusively on the PS2. Oh wait, it's not really a shame at all since they can move to a different system. In hindsight, I'm glad I preordered the cheaper version. Wii really can't afford to spend more on a game system than on a car. :)

Just like if the person in charge of drafting legislation to stop alien abductions turned out to be a space alien with an abduction fetish too, I'd expect some goddamn punishment.

His crime most certainly DID have a huge effect on his performance, and hurts the entire country too. These crimes are committed by a very small minority of the country. To have a pedophile in that position would be like Osama Bin Laden heading up homeland security. Come to think of it, maybe we should be searching the homeland security offices for just that sort of thing.

Even if your state opposes the death penalty, The punishment for treason is the death penalty, enforcable in every state of the Union. So even in your state, a person COULD be put to death. Since it is outlined in the constitution, it isn't therefore unlawful.

Of course this is a pretty obscure exception and probably doesn't count in casual speech. :)

Spore looks to be pretty fun though, and I can't wait to play around with the critter creator.

I could never play Mega Man 2 for "comfort."

I paid $70 for it and beat it in 3 days. That ticked me off to no end.

I play games like BloodRayne, Icewind Dale, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and when on my friend's PS2, I play Disgaea 2 or Makai Kingdom. Playing those kinds of games is its own reward. It's satisfying just blowing stuff up. What I don't like is grinding to get to "the good part." That's why I switched from a Paladin to a Mage in WoW. There's a huge difference.

Of course one of the most relaxing things I ever did was spend a day playing icewind Dale, creating a party just to see how far I could get without saving or loading the game. I actually ended up getting all the way to the end boss fight for the first time, and had to save just because I would never be able to forgive myself if the party died after all that.

I've seen maybe 2.3 episodes so far, totalling all the time spent spinning my head from WoW to the TV screen to say "WTF just happened?" and I can tell you it's a damn fine drama. I haven't yet turned my head back in disgust from the show, and that's more than I can say for just about every other sci-fi thing *ever*. Even Firefly/Serenity had a few cheesy moments or scenarios.

My recommendation to you is that you turn the TV on to see the latest episode while trying to do something else, because it'll suck you in on its own time, and no matter where you dive in, there's a great story being told in a great way.
