Sony and Microsoft sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g....

How was this modded as insightful?
Its attitudes like this that cause the need for age of consent laws. If it was just a case of 20 year olds bonking 17 year olds it wouldn't be an issue. When a 20 year old bonks a 12 year old, we have a problem.
Come on, the government is not the entity to complain about regarding this. Private enterprise has failed to connect areas where it would be unprofitable. I don't blame them.
Imagine it would cost $1 mil to wire up 100 people, that is a lot of money for a little benefit. This is made even more obvious by the simple fact that these people don't all want or need broadband.
I really doubt that MMORPGs will be run by volunteers in the future. First off, a lot of the most popular MMORPGs are based off of copyrighted works (Star Wars anyone). All of the open source MMORPGs I have seen are way scaled down versions of non-open source games.
I've always thought that time-shifted programs were ok. I understand that the company wants the ads to stay in, but the truth is that if I could download a show with ads I would put up with them. Hell, DRM them I don't care.
The truth is that I can't always watch TV shows when they are on TV, I don't have a TIVO or the equivalent, but I want to be able to watch certain shows. So, let me download them, I'll watch the ads, and they can still get ad revenue.
My $.02!
Look at what google currently does,
- google search
- gmail
- desktop search
- groups
- etc.
Everything google does is obviously very search oriented, and a calendar software project where you could import events from other people based on searches, well it sounds like it might work.
I am personally guessing that this is yet another Google employees personal time project.
What we do know is that, even if google does launch some type of calendar service, it will be stuck in beta for the next five years.
The OC, is one of the best seeded torrents I have seen as well, but I've never seen 2500 + seeds, where do you see that at?
I am one of the few guys I know who actually enjoys the show, and to make matters worse I am 21. Yay teenage melodrama.

Who do I complain to about System Idle Process only using one thread. They really should make it take advantage of multithreading too.

No its not, go away. BTW, mod me down for all I care. Hell my Karma is so bad that I don't even see my own comments while browsing.
I'm not saying that it won't be a pretty cool time, I just doubt that we will get their in the near future.

So, is it just the Wal-Mart's in Iowa that all already have self-checkout. The way people are talking about them, it seems they are rare.
Ehhh, there are plenty of things for high school kids to do besides working at grocery stores and McD's, take hard manual labor for example.
