Pundits Railed against the Orwellian "Patriot Act". (soapbox)
Voting in Obama to fix the wrongs that were going on, but he became the motherfucking Emperor to Dick Cheney's Darth Vader. (ballot box)
If the Supreme Court says this shit is all Constitutional... (Jury Box)
America has sold more Ammo over the last eight years to its citizens than were used in WWII. Ammo plants are one of the few industries in America running full out.:) Veterans returning from the war are seeing how their government is treating them; many are homeless, and suffering ptsd.
We will see a change; either people will pull their heads out of their asses, or they will be removed.
I just hope the people in charge realize it before it's too late; when shit happens, all the denials in the world aren't going to help.
Amazingly enough, in my experience, two days in a truck is not nearly as bad as a few weeks in an extremely temperature-controlled, vibration free room.
The drives will weld to the platter if there's no vibration or movement after "spinning themselves flat" over many years' time.
Apparently, all the micro-projections on the surface of the heads and disks get worn off over time, making the disk and heads Extremely flat; they stick like glue when the air barrier between them escapes over time.
Thermal changes and ambient vibration are apparently enough to keep things 'fluid', and not as likely to stick.
People that actually work with F, or UF6, actually know how to prevent that corrosion by using the correct materials.
Imagine that.
We built a few gaseous diffusion plants that exclusively used UF6 as the main working gas; K-25 ran for ~40 years.
AFAICR, Weinbergs' 'star' molten salt reactor was the only one we ever built that could have exploded; the U233 apparently concentrated in the mix, and that had to be dealt with.
Weinberg was a cool guy; I used to see him in my shop a few times a year in the 90's. I got him to autograph all my copies of his books...:)
One of the first Slashdot April Fool's Day jokes had stories written in different fake languages; the Swedish one was written as tho by the Muppets' Swedish Chef.:)
It the area around the router reflects a lot of signal, the SWR of the transmitter goes higher, dissipating more power in the output circuit; that eventually causes it to go bad.
And it loses efficiency as it goes bad.
Same thing happens to CB or Ham radio transmitters with poor antenna impedance matching; the frequency is a lot higher for wireless networking, however.
Translated into CB speak: If you park a big rig with a linear under a metal roof and key the mike, it takes the finals out of the linear.:) (I ran a small repair shop, lol.)
I see this being something similar; maybe it's located between the toaster and fridge?
but it's really not funny.
If I were the Assholes in charge of the US Government, I would be worrying about all that ammo flying off the shelves for the last 7 years or so.
1% of the Taxpayers is not 1% of the population, lol.
I remember when the Constitution was a real Badge of Honor, not something Our Government Wipes its collective Ass on whenever they want.
.
That would be a nice name for a set of moons, lol.
I think the one percenters need to be more involved in being loved by the other 99%. :)
If 20 million people get pissed and go to Washington, it will be bad.
As long as they don't try to organize it on Facebook, lol.
.
It's apparently not illegal when the president does it. :(
I would mod you up.
I really had hopes for America.
We've Tried the first two boxes:

The gameplay was pieced together from whatever scraps were laying around, glued together kinda.
The multiplayer was so laggy, it sucked on lan, lol.
Using a dedicated server, decent gameplay was possible, but barely.
It really sux compared to Crysis3 @ 5700x1200, lol.
But if you're assimilated, you Give the calories. :)
If this works the way it seems to work, it would seem to be a backdoor attack.
A car's security system will disable after some number of wrong attempts, for a length of time, usually ~30 seconds.
A device that pretty much instantly works is a "master" code.
Most governments require backdoors, so this is probably a leak of Law Enforcement devices.
I think it was more of a "the best we can do is get you buried in an unmarked grave so it won't be desecrated" kind of burial, myself.
Everything with Potassium is Radioactive!!
OMFG, let's all die of eliminating an essential mineral from our diets. :)
BTW, That Red clay mud that half the country is covered with has Uranium in 3-4% concentration in a lot of places; thus the Radon problem.
Vitamin R is provably good for your health, from thousands of Manhattan Project retirees, if you're not predisposed to leukemia...

Unfortunately, this is /.
Neither shall leave the comfy confines of their respective parents' basements, even for such enticements.
Forever shall they waste away, pining for hot grits, and Natalie Portman... :)
It wasn't a joke. That's supposed to be the joke.
Corporations own our government, who see us(We the People!) as useful widgets, until we get in the way.
Blocking Ads really pisses them off...
Now go be a nice Consumer/Breeder.

YMMV.
hal is too far back; I'm naming all my stuff after Borg; the main server is Unimatrix_Zero. :)
I'm a Liberal, Apparently.
It's easy to say "WTF?!" 'till you live there.
Under State law, I am required to stop the progress of a Felony by law, or be an accessory.
If I have a HCP, that means I'd be armed.
Castle doctrine does not protect criminals, by its definitions section, in FLA. Here the area extends to the property line at least, by case law.
Law is a great thing until you realize you're on the wrong side of the line, at the wrong moment in time. :)
The rest of us call it a "Rockford" turn.
Nixon was the last president to balance a budget until Clinton.
He did it by cancelling the rest of the Apollo program, and converting it into a clusterfuck called Skylab.
I remember Apollo being the highpoint; it's been downhill since.
Imagine if We'd spent the several Trillion dollars we wasted on Afghanistan and Iraq on a Space Program instead.
That would have been awesome.

This is a much cheaper way to nukes than uranium separation, from the looks of it.
They Got Caught, and had to respond.
There is a business plan on fire in a trashcan somewhere, most likely; or just put off for awhile.
We'll see this again, wait and see. And not as a repost, lol.
My 920 at 4.3GHz runs everything I play at max; It will be a while before I upgrade again. :)
Actually, it was a nuclear waste dump that exploded, throwing the moon out of orbit.

I'd bet it's just a bad location.
