I totally agree with parent AC, GP is *NOT* offtopic, insightful even if funny, it's called a cartoon. I'll surely be modded down for this but it had to be said.
Note that for the Lucasfilms games like Monkey Island 1,2,3 The Dig and Full Throttle you can run using ScummVM. With this program you don't need the original executable anymore, only the data files.
In my former company, they use SAP and it's absolutely an IE only application for its web interface. It doesn't work *at all* with Firefox. At least that was the case when I was working there (We were using SAP ECC6)
I *ALWAYS* disable automatic installation of updates on Windows. I can get crap that can easily render my system unstable. So updates on Windows are not always better than on Ubuntu either.
Seriously, to remove WGA you can use Windows restore points to go back to where you were before installing those "so important" security updates. You can still install SP3 as a standalone version.. Then disable automatic installation of updates and you are done with this WGA crap.
So naturally, it begins again. What is it that allows these hackers to reverse Microsofts patches? Is there no format that would protect them? Perhaps a more open security policy? Imagine that mess?
You can "reverse" Microsoft patches. Use the tool to reverse the Windows configuration to a given date (in Accessories -> System Tools but I don't know the exact name of this app as I'm not using Windows on my home pc of course)
If Psystar were rich enough, they could win their case against Apple and we could see Mac clones on the market like we saw IBM PC clones in the 80's. But still, what would be the point in having Mac clones ? We'd start to see an OS (Mac OS) that crashes all the time because the hardware is "not supported officially". So we would be forced to install an alternative OS on the machine, like Linux or BSD. Ok it could work great but it works as great on PCs.
Really I'm not trying to troll/start a flamewar, I'm just wondering.
Yes that's exactly why we have to use IE and MS Office on our desks in my company (well I know someone in the system department who installed Firefox but still).
Internet Explorer 1.0 has been bought also;-). Don't remember ? It was called NSCA Mosaic back then. It was one of the best browser of the market, the other one was Netscape Navigator.

You are used to Debian ? Then try Debian GNU/kFreeBSD.
The Debian distro on top of a FreeBSD kernel.
C'mon ! Parent is funny not a Troll :) Mods try to have some second degree ...
Using SAP by any chance ?

If I were here, I'd have cracked the machine with a hammer
Wank off. We'll save $20

GPL means Gates Private License
Don't click !!! GNAA Troll !!!!
it was in 2002 when I decided to move away from windows xp which was crashing all the time to Debian GNU/Linux Sid. I will never go back.
Maybe Debian is not the easiest distribution for the home user but Ubuntu is quite easy to install and use, and there are many other distros.
rob@thinkpad:~$ pussy
bash: pussy: command not found
rob@thinkpad:~$ man pussy
No manual entry for pussy
Pussy doesn't even exist ...

Deleted already :(
Slashdotted ?
December 18 2008 is last year but is not even a month ago :)
I'd say it runs KDE based on the screenshot. But KDE runs on various Unix.

Yeah, joysticks too. Microsoft hardware division is valuable.
Pentium 4 2.8 GHz in April 2000 ? Sure it's a troll post but still, be a bit realistic next time :-).
/me remembers his Athlon 900 MHz bought in December 2000, it was the best CPU available in Belgium at that time ;-).
Internet Explorer 1.0 has been bought also ;-). Don't remember ? It was called NSCA Mosaic back then. It was one of the best browser of the market, the other one was Netscape Navigator.
It's time to change my aging Athlon 900 MHz then :-).
It is called ROM Basic ;-)
No, come on, it will be done Office 2007 style ;-)
