Actually I've downloaded burnt and tested Kororaa and have found it very great. Wow a CD that boots automatically, detects all my hardware AND enables 3D acceleration. Come on people, Kororaa is just meant to be a Live CD, or a Gentoo installer...
Have you ever tried Firefusk Firefox extension ? Ok I know, it was designed to watch a long serie of porn images in a single page. But it can also be used for "non evil" things;).
When a release date is announced for a stable release of Debian, it's rarely respected. I say rarely because I'm a young user of Debian. I started using it when woody was about to become stable. I don't know if previous release dates were more accurate for potato,...
Isn't an autograph something you are proud to get from a celebrity ? Who in hell knows Richard Stallman except geeks at slashdot ? I'll sure get a troll mod for that but at least admit it's true.
Yeah, I'm reading what I typed yesterday. Wonderful heap of mistakes:)

Except that new computers don't especially need to be sold. You know, I could be a new computer if I wanted to, but what for ? I'm still hapopy with my AMD athlon 900MHz running the latest Debian Sid. Sure it's not as fast as thunder but well... So what ? It's more than enough for what I need to do with it (writing programs, typing reports lin LaTeX, IRC, MSN,...).
Apart from gaming, who really needs a new PC every time ?
I wouldn't like my kernel to be polluted with non-free drivers. Third party drivers mean a more bloated kernel IMHO. Besides that, what's wrong with external modules like the nvidia drivers ? They work perfectly.
I don't know if I'm the only lucky guy on earth but no way am I going to pursue a chinese company that sells me an excellent laptop. My Lenovo-made Thinkpad R52 really rocks. I love the feeling of the keyboard. Compared to my mother's Acer laptop there's a world of difference. Linux suport is quite good. Maybe it won't last long but for the moment Thinkpads are way better than competitors for professional use. Other brands make more or less "multimedia PCs" while IBM are real workstations.
If lenovo completely changes the design of Thinkpads to make them more or less like their competitors (multimedia-firtrees laptops like Toshiba has done in the past), they are stupid... They will lose great marketshares.
Have you heard of apt-listbugs ? Every time yoou upgrade your system, it checks the BTS (Debian Bug Tracking System) and displays grave bugs related to packages you are about to upgrade. You can check the reported bugs (most of them are not related to the version you are about to install or to the platform you are using)
I have been using apt-listbugs for a while actually, and I have never experienced any bad crash recently with sid.
Amazon.com stores your credit card number if they only ask you to enter the last four digits of your card number, right ? So what's different here ? Maybe I've not understood something
Person'lly, I wouldn't mind if Ubuntu died today. :-P
While being a Debian user that has never tried Ubuntu, I think Ubuntu is great for Debian. Ubuntu devs help Debian growing faster.
XFree86 4.6.0 has been released. I thought that project was dead but appearently it isn't completely (yet).
Can Openoffice.org import those special Doc ?
If I had mod points, I would have given you afunny mod :)

If I remember correctly, Yahoo! search engine used Google technology.
I was sarcastic. I am a proud Debian user, you know. I was just doing the same analogy as the authors of the article do.
... given it mainly runs on x86 based CPUs. (I know I know it can run on other CPUs too but the majority of computer are x86 based anyway.)

That would be great if there were more linux games actually. E3 could be a great place to show them.
Lol :) Wish I had modpoints

You sir made me laugh. Sorry I don't have mod points today :(

I agree with you in this case. I wondered the same when I saw that ... Wish I had mod points.

It took some time, but someone finally made it happen: Windows XP boots on a Macbook Pro! Screenshot included!
Don't click on the link, it's a goatse troll
... since Firefox 1.5. Really, like Linus said, I can't stand Gnome 2.10 integration.
Konqueror is becoming better and better, and is really an alternative to firefox now
And not OOo for linux for the screenshots of the book ? It would have been better to do some advertisement for our favorite OS :)
