Ac2 didn't have a bad graphics engine. It had poorly designed character classes that weren't balanced and movement issues and tons of exploits. Even if DDO has the same graphics engine or physics engine no big deal.
Cederic I can't agree with you more. I live in the US but hell after the age of 13 I can tell you I knew I was responsible for my own actions. I will say that the age consentual sex is sort of damned rediculous. I realize there has to be some sort of law otherwise sexual predators would get away with what they do by manipulating minors from positions of power. However, in regards to this f'ing moron girl whe was 17 and I knew girls in college at 17. Anyways, consent laws in the US are a f'ing joke and besides that who that isn't under 20 would want to get into a serious relationship with a teenager?
perhaps all the hackers and open source people should focus on china and wage a digital war against China until they give up this mockery of chaining the web.
Heh you are funny. The U.S. heading for a fall. Lol do you realize what the consequences of that would be. Not only do you make a WAG but you don't have any facts other than speculative real estate markets are bad....uh they have to be speculative because you don't know where people are going to want to live. Most likely MuniWIFI will happen because the issue of the laws past by the state legislature will either be brought before congress and struck down or the courts will strike it down and lastly the state voters might put in representatives that strike it down. While you make some good points about taking things away from people once they already have them you make some pretty rediculous statements also.
that isn't the point. Not that humans damage the earth so badly but natural disaster such as a huge asteroid hitting earth and killing us off like it did the dinosaurs. Oh and btw massive nuclear war would finish us off pretty quick.
lol I noticed some of you missed the point. It wasn't that installing linux on a laptop is impossible. It was that it was directly out of the box install. And much as it pains me to say it I have to have a windows install on my home box to play all the games I want because there is just not the diversity of games or driver support for linux yet, but it is getting better.
I would agree in the main that students are no longer challenged in school which comes as a nasty shock when they go to college. Needless to say everything a teacher uses is just a tool not a novel solution unless it is a method of teaching. I still have the opinion that if students don't want to be "educated" they should be taught a skill in High school and just sent into the job market from there. Seems pointless to burden a system with people that don't want to participate in it.
You are blaming the wrong thing when blaming technology/computers. The fact you fail to realize this is not everyone else's problem. However, what you probably should be blaming is the lack of any type of penalty for a student to not finish their assignments. It doesn't matter if you are using a stone tablet and a chisle or a laptop if there is no penalty for not reading a book or not doing a writing assignment then students are still not going to pay attention.
You are also incorrect when you try to say a teacher's job isn't to be engaging with the student. I will also say that even in college when the penalty for not doing well enough in a class would mean you had to retake it and pay more money if the professor wasn't engaging I would not try as hard as I probably should have. After a year or so I would actively search out ways to only take classes that would be taught by the professors I enjoyed.
So, all of your arguments should really be directed at parents and other teachers that allow students to just get by with out doing all of the work that is required of them. It would be a simple remedy just to give students that can't write F's even in grade school and tell them they won't get to the next grade w/o learning how to write.
not saying to much but Peter Jackson didn't stay true to the original spirit of LotR. I was a story about the struggles of hobbits to become self sufficient and sustaining not of men and the kingdoms of men. besides he raped the ents and the raising of the shire oh yeah and about everything else that was cool in the books.
I absolutely agree with you. Seems everyone is still thinking about a PPU in the same way as a GPU. Physics isn't just about what happens when something collides and is graphically shown. it is about how an object of x mass volocity density and shape meet object y what is the mathematical result. such as the bullet illustration. Air molecules have densities. basically a PPU would allow a programer to say a bullet has a certain mass and it leaves at a trajectory of x with a velocity of y what is the effect of gravity and the rest of what it runs into in this particular games physics laws. That would be the thing. the PPU would have to have programable physics laws for developers to key in. Anyways that is my 2 sense
It really bugs me when someone blames anything for violent destructive behavior unless what they are blaming is the individual behind it. Most of the people I know have played or still play violent video games none of us are violent. However when I was young I was not allowed to play video games when ever I wanted because I had parental supervision. Parents that feel video games cause violence should simply not get violent video games for their children simple as that.
Just because one hates microsoft doesn't mean they don't have a say in a government they are supporting. If the population cares not that 800 ppl will lose their jobs then microsoft will just take their business and taxes with them and the country will have to find someway to replace the lost jobs.
Lol the book to episode 3 is already out. Perhaps you should check Amazon.com before you post.
And this is news to anyone??? I just find it funny that ppl start calling her she when s/he is only a s/he cause s/he had a sex change.

the moonanites already own the moon.
Get it right She was the goddess of Battle and Wisdom not Victory. However, wisdom in battle tends to lead to victory.

It is important to read before you post btw.
Just try to be funny next time.
On a side note China has decided to let Taiwan sucede. Also Israel has decided to open up the government to Palestinians.
