I know that the company "Rational Software" was bought by IBM a year or so ago, as my mom works for Rational. But does this software suite have to do with the Rational Software company?
I have gotton various things, at methlabs.org it says to ignore e-mails I get from anyone about PG unless it is from @methlabs.org. In an e-mail I got from someone else saying to go to the Sourceforge site. So for the time being, I probabaly will not download anything from either place since I don't know who to believe.
I have been using the Beta of 2 for Gallery for a while. I love it. It is great if you want to share photos with friends after a fun night partying. Also allows your friends to upload pictures if they are so inclined.
"Products from both companies could be used, at high volume, to harm subjects who do not comply with commands."
So instead of crowd-control we have gone to torture?
HOLLYWOOD veterans say they are well aware of the momentous changes afoot. "Our industry is trying very hard to make sure that what happened to the music industry doesn't happen to our industry," said Barry M. Meyer, chairman of Warner Brothers, which was one of the first studios to mount a serious antipiracy campaign. "We don't want this to become mainstream behavior."
What happened to the music industry? I don't see anything wrong with it. OH NO, A FEW KIDS DOWNLOADED CDS. WE HAVE NO MONEY NOW!
In fact, a few bands have come to embrace the fact that when people download a song, they can still buy the CD. Look on Myspace and you will find tons of big bands that offer music downloads.
How many of us haven't downloaded something only to find you loved it and then went to buy the CD/DVD? I know I have. If I were to download a movie, it would be because its not out on DVD yet and I wanted to see it again after seeing it in the theaters. (Its not worth downloading 4GB to get a movie if I don't know that I like it).
So if 50% of published papers are wrong, couldn't this be wrong? But if this is wrong, then maybe 50% of papers aren't wrong. Leading to this being right and creating a horrible paradox...
I am an incoming Feshman in college and I hang around with all sorts of people. I have met one person that has a PSP (out of a few hundred probably), A few who were tryin to do those online free PSP things, and noone that had a DS. It could just be noone talks about it. But I doubt that, some of my friends sit and chat about news on/., so I don't think they would avoid talking about their fancy new portables.
I got the same thing. /. going down hill?
I for one welcome our new H5N1 overlords.
I for one welcome our new physics overthrowing overlords.
I bow down to our not-so-new budget cutting overlords.

Serenity ftw.
"Or are we lazily reliant on computers, and, well, dumber than we used to be?'"
I believe that it was meant to say, "Or are we being more lazier and reliant on computers, and, more dumber than we used to be?"
Let me run that through my grammar and speel chcker first though...

I think most intelligent people understand that CO2 does not exist. But we type it as CO2 because it is easier and is just as well understood.
Maybe the Earth wants CO2 to be released, so it is upping the CO2 in soil. Or the Earth wants to kill us by ridding us of precious O2.

Why use fake Firefox when you can use the real thing?

Simple supply and demand works that when there is a high demand there is a low supply. Not high demand high supply. That would be crazy!
When does the download for Internet 2 come out?
What about the large amount of traffic dedicated to porn?
