    I believe that the growth of the the FIRE economy (finance,insurance, real estate) and the wealth it has brought NY has had the greatest effect on crime in NY. Unfortunately this economic cycle is long in the tooth and NY will recede back into the filth.

    I don't think that is necessarily true.... a good unknown band could pass out business cards with a link to their website with the offer of an album download and probably wouldn't do any worse than selling the cds at the concert; minus the hassle of keeping track of money and product while on tour.

    These are all modified race cars. In the real world BMW's seem to have a reliability edge over Porsches. At least that's what I've seen. YMMV.

    GT2 Porsches have won Daytona.

    Yeah, and Porsche won Daytona 20 times? Thanks for proving my point. And the 24 hours of lemans, 16 for Porsche. Has BMW even won lemans? Don't know much about it but I am guessing the Nürburgring race is BMW only.

    Ever been to the 24 hours of Daytona? The pits were littered with blown BMW straight sixes by the end. A 911 won.

    There is nothing 'new' about this. There are commercial plastics used to desalinize water (reverse osmosis) and membranes used to concentrate oxygen in the gaseous state.

    I had the same thought at first but in zero g you could make your mirrors very thin, and they never get dirty. Earth bound mirrors are heavy and demand constant upkeep.
