However in all fairness they are a company from the USA , i am aware of several european sites providing the same services such as maps and local info you just have to pick and mix .
I know its nice to have a centralised service and all, but putting all my eggs in one basket has never been a faviourit concept of mine(yes i do use unix in many forms)

The problem i was mostly seeing was the fact that it would require say 100k or 1000000 , as a single spam report from one person compared which has to be delt with is less likely to be taken as seriously as 1 million or so (that will teach me to shoot my mouth off without fully thinking my post through) so even if it is under human review we all know how the group mentality works , its how my great grandparent post got moded up and its how its going straight down to hell

its a shame when a site gets slashdoted like this , the main advantage of nyud.net is the coral cach is Ad safe (the origional site is credited with the Click etc iirc, this takes away the major mirroring concern of alot of people)

PS: :P i should now do my speach about tacking on ads , but i know a couple of people who would find the extension very usefull so i shall instead forward the link to them

some of the teachers were nuns ,and do you know why we got a good education , its because in scotland we have a standerd sylibie and almost all schools( bar expensive or grant funded schools) are state run .Testing is standerdised and performance for all schools can be evenly graded , they must teach us the curriculum and having a nun teach you about eveloution is great fun when she has to tell you the truth . though we did get forced to do a prayer each morning(that did help me with smart arsed paradoy creation skills though, but that and church had persuaded me by age 7 that the chruch was a load of tripe)
