It would be amusing if the Sumerian flood story, frequently assumed to be the source of the Biblical flood story, in its own turn was found to be derivative of a quite different story from far away.
I'm sure that intellectual propeerty lawyers are comparing them as we speak.
No doubt "behaviour influencing eveloution" will be seized upon by the intelligent design brigade. Though as usual the headline is misleading.
Instead of evolution on one axis (e.g. speed) it's on a combination of various abilities (running fast/hiding/climbing/fighting) plus choosing the right strategy. If the rules of the game change, e.g. a faster predator comes along, what you see is what you'd expect - those adapted for running away (as opposed to the hiders, the climbers, the smelly chemical squirters) are now at a disadvantage; they're fighting the previous war.
Nothing to see here.

If only there were a browser that you could get the source code for, then you could mod it to encrypt the cache too - or totally disable it. Ah well, we can dream...
I don't know much about Citrix other than nobody seems to say anything good about it. But if encryption is what they want (or think they need) why can't a web based solution using https work?
1) Whoosh. 2) Whoosh again. 3) Everybody already knows about French keyboards, thanks very much.
The point is that if you arrange the keyboard dependent on letter frequency, and that differs by language, then you have to have different layouts too. That's an added cost for the manufacturer, and probably a nuisance to users.
It's the old principle that explains how QWERTY (or whatever) persists. Being better isn't always enough. When there's an existing standard, the new one has to be a lot better.
He would if he were British, you insensitive clod.
No he wouldn't. For some reason a sports team is usually referred to as plural (Manchester United are [not is] winning), but military units are normally considered singular (The Spanish Armada was [not were] bowled over by Drake).
Yes, it is different. He appears to recommend getting rid of the ones who aren't realistic about development practices - which seems a lot more sensible to me.
Any individual should have the right to some basic privacy concerning his/her private life, regardless of whatever position they hold.
Not if they use their position tell other people what to do in their private lives. Being a member of an organisation that does so is near enough the same.
I remember a UK politician, Cecil Parkinson, who was always preaching about family values. He clearly practicesd what he preached, he valued families so much he had one with his wife and another with his secretary.
If turnabout is fair play, hypocrites are fair game.
Or are you just using wild, unfounded speculation to spread FUD?
I guess you must have spent the last few years under a rock. All forms of DRM inconvenience legitimate users while doing nothing to prevent commercial piracy. Try googling for "China".
Or are you just some corporate shill working for Sony?
Just multiply by -110i
On the other hand, perhaps now they'll follow the books properly (ducks for cover).

Don't be silly, you need to allow for the exchange rate - remember that the UK figures are in dollars sterling.
In Soviet Russia, nuclear wessels look vor you!

Nice use of the subjunctive, though.
And people should all be nice to each other.
I for one welcome our new "I for one welcome our new X overlords" overlords.

... or hidden inside a giant wooden badger?
You are Ned Kelly AICMFP.

Depends if the case is in Soviet Russia or not.
I'm an Amish, and thou art an insensitive clod.
Flying trees is a ridiculous idea. We just need giant enormous fans to mix the air around and get the CO2 to where the trees are.
