Despite trying to be efficient by extending the life of old hardware, running a P4 or Sempron 1.8Ghz will consume so much more power than a netbook or nettop over the course of a yr or two that it's actually less efficient than just replacing it with a nettop.
Although if you're talking about training neural nets, then you don't get to chose what's important for learning at the hidden layer of 100 nodes. The network will chose the salient features that allow it to best differentiate between positive and negative examples of whatever it's trying to link/classify/learn.
That's the downside to neural nets. They're basically black boxes. You don't get to chose which features they learn.
Not to mention that even if they hadn't broken any regulations, there doesn't appear to be a real case against MegaUpload. At least not more so than dropbox, youtube, or any other file upload site.

Following this withdrawal in 2005 the borders were open and there was no naval blockade. All of that stuff came much later after years of Gaza rocket attacks and the kidnapping of Shalit.
The main problem with Hamas...if you listen to them speak...is that they talk about Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and all of Israel as being occupied. They view Gaza as the staging ground for the plans for the total destruction of the Jews/Israel.
Even if the sexual harassment suit doesn't involve these forms of communication? Or could be verified by other means?
That's the equivalent of saying that they need to allow the defense attorneys to search their home and make copies of all their personal documents.
OTOH, seems as though a woman with a solid case for sexual harassment that does involve electronic communications would want to submit these all their electronic records to help the case (although not the passwords).
But due to the massive increase in world population since 1,000BC...the number of specific individuals who possess great intelligence has increased...and due to the nature of electronic distribution, communication, and manufacturing...these individuals can impact a much greater number of their fellow citizens than was possible back in the old days.
A cheapo off the shelf laser scanner can take 40 scans a second (with each scan registering hundreds of datapoints) A 60 second exposure would allow for 2,400 slices/scans with >100K datapoints.
If it's laser based (lidar), you should be able to have a single lidar rotate around your body in less than a minute. If it's IR based (think Kinect) you should be able to image in less than a minute.
The required CPU power and data storage are non issues on any modern computer.

They make $250 - $330 profit on each iPhone sold.
