On some tv commercials you'll see "Screen images simulated, sequences shortened." So what you're seeing is fantasy compared to how the phone actually works. Its a bit much.
Yes, I believe this. I really like the idea of the Atrix. If it can have a decent *office suite and a vpn client, it could replace my dept's phones and laptops.
For me, it seems its a smart phone in a bigger form factor, with out the phone capability. If I'm am going to carry it around, it should replace all my other devices. I dont want to carry around a tablet and a phone.
There is at least some support in the Senate for the RC guys with bill S.223. There is a section which will prevent the FAA from regulating model aircraft given the meet a certain criteria:
(1) IN GENERAL.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law relating to the incorporation of unmanned
aircraft systems into FAA plans and policies,, including this section, the Administrator shall not promulgate any
rules or regulations regarding model aircraft or aircraft being developed as model aircraft if such aircraft is--
(A) flown strictly for recreational, sport, competition, or academic purposes;
(B) operated in accordance with a community-based set of safety guidelines and within the programming of a
nationwide community-based organization; and
(C) limited to not more than 55 pounds unless otherwise certified through a design, construction, inspection,
flight test, and operational safety program currently administered by a community-based organization.
(2) MODEL AIRCRAFT DEFINED.--For purposes of this subsection, the term ``model aircraft'' means a
nonhuman-carrying (unmanned) radio-controlled aircraft capable of sustained flight in the atmosphere, navigating
the airspace and flown within visual line-of-sight of the operator for the exclusive and intended use for sport,
recreation, competition, or academic purposes."
Not only does it force teachers to teach the test, with budget penalties etc etc, if a student fails his or her EoG test twice, they get promoted to the next grade anyway. No child is left behind, because they eventually get promoted whether they pass the tests or not. Its fucking brilliant.

"DDO's Module 7 goes live today, and boy, if you're looking for information about it, you're in the right place. Massively has been covering Module 7 since before Module 6 dropped, and just in case you missed out on any of our great coverage, it's right here for your perusing pleasure.
Live at Connect '08, we provided coverage of the DDO panel, including a first look at the Monk class Turbine released in this patch.
Shortly after that, we chatted with the woman herself, DDO Senior Producer Kate Paiz, on what worked well with Module 6, and everything else they were planning in Module 7 and beyond.
We covered "Monk Week" and the official Turbine events leading up to the game.
Not only did we provide great original coverage, but we aggregated coverage from around the 'net, including other interviews with Ms. Paiz, as well as official info drops (and did you take advantage of your chance to grab the soundtrack?)
And finally, Massively's got the dungeonmaster of all Module 7 previews, including the number one reason you'll want to roll a Monk, a look at the Gary Gygax shrine and the new midlevel content, the new high level instances and bosses, and even an exclusive video preview of what you'll see in Module 7 (which you'll find right after the break).
We critted on the coverage of this new patch (going live today), and you get to be the one to claim all the loot. Before you sign in and check out Module 7 today, be sure to check all the links above and read about it here."
It seems the interest for the companies involved is not reducing their carbon footprint, but reducing their fuel cost. If they can make their own biodiesel, they wont be buying as much oil @ $100+ per barrel. Its a nice point you make, but I think this really comes down to crude oil being, and continuing to be, crazy-expensive.

I think you would be suprised. The Labor and Delivery ward in our local hospital uses a monitoring program for the new borns. Eight little boxes on the screen showing heartbeat, heart rate, blood pressure, and tempurature. Its running on Window 2000. This is just a monitoring program and will never replace the army of nurses on that ward. Also, if the computer were to get some sort of malware, it cannot kill the babies. It will have to find another way.
Obviously fires on the 7th and 12th floors. At that, only sections of those floors, not evenly spread throughout the entire floor, would make a 47 floor steel structure fall symmectrically, in less than 10 seconds. Obviously there is no other explanation.:) cheers.

No more secrets, Marty.
Time to exact my revenge on that stupid Lexmark E240 of the 5th floor.

Am I the only one that is a bit skeptical of downloading .msi packages from nsa.gov?

This project is for improving methods to backdoor telco equipment for data mining. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm out of tinfoil.
