As a fellow canadian, (who has also done significant travel in the states) let me dispell a bit of rosieness.. I agree, Canada's lifestyle is different but maybe not so much in the west. We live in a naive comfortable, freindly enviroment, with more gun crime than the US per capita (actually has risen since the advent of gun control legislation by 25%), our health care system is awful (but still better than that of the states), we have tonnes of green land ( where we aren't using it for sububia such as Richmond (both Toronto and Vancover)) and our citizens are well respected by the rest of the world. Unfortunatly this isn't so with our government....
This is, after all, an ex-Trudeauian... And we all know how much Trudeau loved Americans.. look at his friendship with Cuba.. Fidel even bothered to show up for Trudeau's funeral.
Well, actually Trudeau did have values (they're just not mine)... But this isn't about Trudeau in the first place... I don't think the UFOs will like this....
Office is not the only killer app for OSx. What about iLife? anyway, iWork can almost replace office for new installations anyway... maybe not for those businesses with a million macros and all, but for most things it should be fine...
Slightly OT:
It's not like Japan didn't deserve it there, they (the Russians) were looking for revenge after their major, major losses during the Russio-Japan war of 1905, where Russia lost pretty much all of her pacific fleet, Port Arthur (What's it's modern name?) and also a large portion of her baltic fleet which was brought all the way over to help out...
In short, the Russians were probably very, very eager to fight the Japanese.
it was more than 20 plants actually, it was 280 plants, with 20 'mature' plants according to the rcmp press release.... here's my reference...

Is this technology related to the intel platforms only or is it also going to be present on PPC, Alpha, MIPS, etc? ie. is it req'd by law on every computer or is it just required on new x86s/64s?..
I'd much rather stay with ppc anyway, risc chips are way better...

get an apple keyboard...only $40 or so... Of course there's people like me who hook up a standard win keyboard to a mac because it's cheaper...

I would guess then that their sat maps do not fit google's mission statement "Don't be evil". yesheh
