Oh yeah, that's my other gripe...only one HDMI input. Right now it's not a problem, the only HDMI device i have is my cable box, but once the optional XBox360 cable comes out or the HD-DVD addon, I'll be using it there. I'll have to get one of those HDMI switch box...goodbye $400...:(
I have a 50" sony sxrd (LCOS) set and I love it. My only qualm is it is a standard VGA input instead of DVI. I haven't hooked up the mac yet, as the set was delivered this week, but I imagine that it will look good:)
that allows you to take your xbox drive and attach it to a computer, but not vice versa. At this point it's pretty much going to be the 20GB drive you get or none at all. That site also mentions a 20GB hard coded limit which will have to change once and if MS releases HD upgrades off the shelf. I think i'll just wait till they release a 100 or 200GB model.
Other than the lack of playing games online, you have access to the XBL Arcade which has a bunch of games that you can buy and play. Some of these are classics (frogger, galaga, uno, etc) others are more independent (cloning clyde, outpost keoki X)...Also, you get the XBox live marketplace which has videos, music, demos, trailers, themes, background images, avatar images, etc.
So unless you like playing against others online, you can get by with just the free silver account.
The gold account is cheap anyway, less than $8 a month or less than $5 a month if you pay for the whole year. I used to pay more than that per day when I smoked cigarettes.
The entire point of Apple's switch and new ads with Justin Long are to get PC users to get a Mac. Who better to review an apple laptop but a PC User?
It's true, PC users might enjoy function over form more, I don't know but I think his complaints about the enter key and the arrow keys are justified. Any pc user who switches to Macs will notice the keyboard is designed with aesthetics in mind before comfort or functionality.
The life aquatic with Steve Zisou was rather factual I think when it comes to piracy. And they were actually southeast asians as well...which is always what I thought of when it comes to modern day pirates.
Maybe you like playing crappy grind fests on servers that aren't reliable, suffering hours while the company does "maintenance" on the servers and paying $15 a month for the pleasure instead of playing high quality RTS games or strategy games.
I don't think they said it wasn't coming. They left a buttload of information out in order to avoid having photocopiers working over time :)
:)
I don't know if it will be there in the spring or not, but you can't cut it out just yet
Oh...ok :)
the new intel macbook and macbook pro systems do NOT have a PCMCIA.
This might be welcomed to people who own these systems.
and how many people actually play games?
700K is nothing. There are more registered linux users than that!
bunch of hypocrits...
most people are not running 1024 or 1280 desktops...most are still running 800 or at most 1024.
Most people are still running windows 98 or ME as well...
Not true, Battle For Middle Earth II does 1080i...at least that's what my TV reports and the box says it as well.

Where do you get these aftermarket Hard drives? I have yet to see them...and what is this about something between the hard drive and the console?

Actually by the time the PS3 is released it will no doubt cost less than $400 for the premium.

Yes but how can you make a sword with perfect balance, weight and feel without first knowing how to wield one correctly?
I wouldn't buy a computer built by someone who didn't know how to use one.
So you get penetration by lying? Wow...that's great!
I think you meant
MySpace is the VHS to Friendster's Betamax...
otherwise we'd all be watching betamax videos in our home...

yeah you're right, he has absolutely no idea how pronounce his name.
I'm glad you're here or I wouldn't know anything!
Yes the latest update was supposed to add support for USB keyboards to make typing a little less a pain in the ass.

Yeah I'm sure people will pay $500-$600 in order to run blackbox or xfce or a command line interface.
Sony screwed up here.
Funny, I don't experience that. I will try again when I get home but I was playing last night without the pauses that you are talking about.
How many PS1 games don't work on the new Slim PS2? How many of them don't work on the Old brick PS2?
I don't know, I don't own either. All I know is that of my 15 xbox games only 2 do not work on my Xbox360 at this point.
They've created patches for over 200 games for back compat. I wouldn't necessarily call that "ignoring backwards compatibility"...

But you're right...720p is great for KOTOR
