    Why not just change the law so a store can't sell incandescent bulbs cheaper than CFL or LED? You wouldn't need to ban them to have the save effect.

    Although you might not use a lot of advanced math learning it changes how you solve problems. I found it abstract algebra and formal logic the most useful.

    You're making the assumption that the ONLY reason for developing drugs is profit. There's no evidence that research funded by public money is less effective than research funded by corporate coffers.

    I bought a pair of Superlux HD681 for $25 which are an AKG240 copy. To my ear they sound the same and they sound the same.

    You can drag and drop an image from your desktop onto the Google image search. I was amazed at how fast and accurate it is. It looks like it doesn't even need to be an exact match.

    I searched for a photo of a piece of graffiti from a wall outside of San Francisco and Google found a few other people that had taken a photo of the same wall.

    I work in IT and only work 37.5 hours a week. Just enough to be considered full time by the government. I don't take phone calls or answer emails after 5pm. I am getting paid about 10% less than the average for my position but the perks are well worth it.

    If there are no on screen visuals I'm lost. I rarely use keyboard shortcuts and I can see that increasing when there isn't a keyboard.

    The problem I have with Metro is that it's so hard to organize things. I have over 1000 shortcuts currently on my Windows 7 machine, where are they supposed to fit in Metro. I'd need to scroll for a week to find what I'm looking for. "Oh, but you can just type the name of what you are looking for. " but I don't remember the name just what the icon looks like. Keep your Metro, give me a start menu and we can both be happy.

    I don't really use icons on my desktop for launching apps and only have three apps pinned to the taskbar. The rest I start using the start menu. Metro has basically forced me to change the way I WANT to use my computer.

    How do I search for it when I don't know the name? I usually search the search menu visually. Oh ya, that what that app was called.

    Unless I'm missing something fundamental about the Metro UI, I just don't see a way to get the 1000+ applications I have installed onto a metro menu. There is no tree view that I can see. Metro may be fine for people that only use a browser and email but what about the technical user?

    I'm asking because I don't carry a phone and when I did I didn't always answer a call until I felt like returning it. I didn't like being interrupted every 10 minutes by someone sending me a text that had nothing important to say.

    Why not just disable sending and receiving messages while the phone is moving over a specified speed? The phone alerts you to the call or text but you can't view the text or answer the call until you pull over. Why is it that people seem to think that a phone call can't wait a few minutes? Make 911 / 999 calls exempt.
