    It's always a mistake to think you can run government like a business. It's a double mistake to vote for a politician who claims they can; they're either lying (most politicians) or stupid (take your pick).

    That's very narrow minded, they could easily be both!

    As a british citizen I think one of the best ways to help the third world would be to stop give free money to incompetent french farmers, it would accomplish 3 important goals:
    (i)Save money for us
    (ii)Allow 3rd world famers to sell food to us
    (iii)Piss off the french.

    not to tinfoil hat here but... maybe they are viewing the end user as the government so they can have easier access to everyones medical records. Not necessarily for evil means, maybe for census and planning info but once its all in one place its too easy to abuse

    I'm just guessing but I think english passed the point where more people speak it as a second language a long time ago such as at the height of empire. This also explains why there are so many flavours of english.
