    It *is* a problem. It's more than a prefs setting disabled, it shows attitude of AOL. Well, not surprised. Also would show difference between portal/giant company powered browsers and ones like Opera,iCab.

    As a registered Opera user, I don't care anymore :)

    (it can be done if a simple problem could be fixed... the size of VHS tape *g*

    Besides jokes, if you can put the DVD to exactly TOP of the cassette, it could be fixed too, just "anti dust" cover of video won't be closed, not a big dealk.

    there are some systems that you can setup like... hmm total 1 cm analogue part.

    Er, CD sends digital data (raw,optical s/pdif) to digital equlizer, equlizer sends s/pdif to speakers via digital (laser) cable and those amps in those speakers perform the amp job and send analogue signal via 1cm pure gold cable.

    Well, for digital lovers, not me.

    oh conspiracy theory... Let me say, there are GREAT tape decks in some real luxury cars (I even saw a nakamischi on Mercedes SL600) and those people doesn't like to change their decks.

    Streaming? I understand your comment (and it must be true) but I didn't understand one thing. BBC still uses Realnetworks servers (seems working great imho) and those servers perform best on Linux and Solaris.

    I mean, if they ported to wmedia, of course they should run windows type servers (which I doubt can handle that much users)

    Englighten me(us) please.

    I used IE on PPC and (believe or not) on a 68030 Mac.

    Man, what I don't understand is... If MS acted like that on Windows OS, they wouldn't get hated that much. IE on Mac is (as you already know) is a standalone and a real application. Supports W3C standards better than Windows one. Does not do evil tricks (oh yea,except forcing windows charsets for mac if not changed).

    IMHO, if they shipped Win32 version like that, as a licensed Opera user, I wouldn't hate them. Wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't hate it. I guess its a huge difference for PR thing.

    Er, to make it clear as a foreigner, let me say, imagine IE was shipped like Opera browser on Windows. No evil system integrating, making it a definite need for OS functions (oh no, no 98lite arguments, lets speak about Realone players IE)... would be cool. Also anyone can figure, there is a before IE 3.0 era and after IE 3.0 era on MS hate history :)

    The "free" (open source) problem is simple... Currently, most of the people wouldn't consider installing Linux (giving Redhat example,most popular) if it was same price as windows.

    Understand? They go with it because its free,cheap (costless to obtain), NOT because its superior than Microsoft software.

    Oh when you try to sell your hard work to those people like Linux journal, you get flamed.

    The worst enemy of linux is its user profile for now. Same ones who will mod -1000 down this post :)
