My cat was long and lean, even though he ate plenty--and was strong and muscular even though he slept as much as any other cat. He was between 8 and 9 pounds as an adult. Sonar is either a much larger breed, or is dangerously overweight. Mine would have been very unhealthy at anything over about 14.
Well, there might be. Our thermostat says 70 all the time but it rarely gets that cool in here, what with all the bodies and doors being opened and closed and gone into or out of all day. Plus, all these PCs need to stay cool so the hardware continues working optimally.
Have you ever accidentally squished one with the windscreen wipers? It leaves a trail of glowyness across the glass that still lights up for like ten minutes. Gross but fascinating.
...and that's that there is already way too much useless information being shared as it is. Pardon me for being crass, but who gives a shit that you're sitting on your ass eating a sandwich watching Jersey Shore or something?? It's bad enough to wade through the drivel to try to find something you actually want to know on blogs, Facebook, or other social networks. Do we really need to know every minute detail of everybody's life all the time?
You know you're a nerd when you read about a car made of hemp, but all you can think of when you see the name is that second character in Splinter Cell: Conviction.
The kind of person who will never have a real relationship, and what's going through their head will be either 1) cluelessness as to what they're missing out on, or 2) bitterness because they *do* know what they're missing. (Either that, or just incredibly insensitive trolling.)
I agree with this. And while photos, letters, memories are so important, you don't want to be so focused on "keeping her memory alive" that the normal grieving process is stunted. Losing loved ones completely sucks, but it's a fact of life and it's healthy to move through the stages of grief, but then move on and not dwell on them every moment of every day. I have pictures I treasure of myself with the people I have lost, but it'd be emotionally exhausting to have so many reminders around constantly and their presence practically simulated with hours upon hours of video... if that makes any sense.
See, the bad joke just makes me want to friend him more. But... I make "your mom" and "oh snap" jokes all the time. I guess you wouldn't want to be my friend either!
If I legally purchase and download something, let's say from iTunes, I have to burn it to a CD and then turn around and rip it off in order for it to be in a useful format. Why should I have to go through that much trouble to use something I've bought the rights to use? Besides, even if I do that, I'm technically "making an illegal copy"... so what's the difference between that and downloading one?
Nobody buy an iPad!
To be fair, you could have just stopped there.
You say that as though Microsoft has never taken other companies' innovations and profited from others' work...

Oh, and I forgot to mention the fact that people get even more sleepy and groggy, and/or irritable, if it's too warm.

If they were dangerous, the government would never allow them to be sold to households for such common use
I think you have a *lot* more faith in the government than I do...

Haha, awesome! I never saw that one.
I second that with Braid, it was incredibly unique and addicting. Even the story-line came with a "wait, whaaaat?" twist...
Hehe, rabbit fighting game. Anybody else remember Jazz Jackrabbit?
I was relatively young, but I loved that one.

Yes--I am troubled that some industries (not just cameras, and consumers are just as guilty) are forgetting the old "quality over quantity" thing.

What the are you on about?
Not sure about that, mate! Anything to lighten the monotony of the day, I always say...
If you thought gaming for too long gave you headaches before, think about how this would be after a relatively short amount of time.
See, the bad joke just makes me want to friend him more. But... I make "your mom" and "oh snap" jokes all the time. I guess you wouldn't want to be my friend either!
He also utterly fails to convince me that this isn't simple natural selection doing its job, and that we should leave it be. ;)
On the bright side, Jobs would be right that time. They'd definitely be holding it wrong.
I thought this too. The ability to see long-term is so rare these days! I hope it pays off big time for them (and I'm pretty sure it will).
But then we could make real Androids.

That's protecting rights, though, not providing them. There is a subtle but distinct inherent difference.
