Solaris used to be great. Then they came up with Solaris 11. What a turd that is. Did you know they put a lot of/etc a database? Sure, the files are there, they often don't do anything. You have to use their bullshit commands to configure it instead of being able to hack the old files. Just like Windows and their pain in the ass registry. It's a really bad idea, don't do it.
By the way, nobody I know is transitioning to Windows. They were up until about 2 years ago, now they realize their stupidity when MS Sql can't even do without the really old RC4/MD5 stuff breaking it. I.e. get off of SMB 1/NTLM. When they moved back to RedHat 7 and Mysql, everything ran a lot faster. Their words, not mine. The managers running the projects. They've also said the numbers show far less down time. So we're blowing away Win hosts and moving back to Linux. We're also firing up Linux hosts for things that Microsoft hasn't even thought of yet, like Hadoop.
Wish we had something to replace sharepoint. What a POS that is. Works great as a document incinerator. Put your doc in there and it could be gone for good.
I guess they didn't have the foresight to look at job predictions. That can be found in the library. I was a EE in the 1980s and found in 1985 that there would be *NOTHING* for me when I graduated. Men with decades of experience were projected to be out of work so I switched. Besides, I was a foreigner in my own school. Seemed to be nothing but Chinese students that had everything paid for them while they were here. Their best of the best. They were really bright.

200 stations? Yea. Sort of like the 500 channels I have from satellite. 500 channels and only like 3 or 4 that are actually worth watching. Sometimes I can't find a single thing to watch. Everything sucks. I had XM for a while, same thing. Sure it was great for a while. After the first year it was too much like on the air radio to me so I dropped it.
I used an arc welding helmet. I've always used one through they years to observe the sun. No problems. Sometimes if it's real bright, use another uv based sunglasses in addition to the arc welding helmet. No blurriness, no after image, no problems. I have to be careful too. I had cataracts. Heredity. Both eyes. I can see UV light now.
Depends on the welding mask. Gas welding - hell no. You will regret it. Arc welding - no problem. I've observed many eclipses and partial eclipses using a good old 1960s era arc welding mask. I think the filter cartridge is from the 1970s. No after image, no problems. This last time I observed a partial eclipse for probably over 10 minutes total. Some people feel it is a bit more comfortable also using sun glasses.

For example - let's have people who do the news be licensed. They have to go to a school, pass a test and if they abuse it, they get locked up for decades.
