    You're a nutcake. I have no reason to respect all animals. They're just stupid animals. And WTF is a "cruelty free diet"? Do you really think the billions of people who frequently eat animals are cruel? Of course you do, because you're a nutcake. I would really love to see you refuse to take any medicine produced from the "minimal good animal research has done". Only a nutcake would be blinded to all the good that has come from animal testing.

    I agree! Even if Microsoft Office is horribly unusable, it at least looks good. On several occasions I've failed to switch people to open source apps only because what they were already using looked prettier.

    Well regardless of whether they are getting easier to use, they are certainly getting much prettier. Compare KDE to CDE, NEXTSTEP, Windows 9x, etc. I actually find all the glitz and glam can make things less functional, but is sure is pretty. Default GNOME is still prettier than all that old shit and often more functional.

    Maybe instead of getting a phone that forces them to reserve time for calling the family, you should actually do some parenting. Get a pay-as-you-go phone and smack them around when they use up all their minutes on social calls.

    Passing Acid 2 on a development branch is important because it shows that they are at least trying. Microsoft has specifically stated that they will not be lifting a single finger trying to pass the Acid 2 test.

    I'm guessing:
    Oo as in booty
    ra as in rotting
    nos as in gnosis (as pronounced in Xenosaga, ironically)

    But there are hundreds of other ways to interpret it.

    You're assuming smart people take advantage of their intelligence, which is often not true. I know a few dumb people with huge vocabularies and a few very smart people with quite small ones. Perhaps a better measure would be to test how quickly someone can learn new vocabulary. Dumber people seem much more likely to use a word strangely, like they don't fully understand its meaning.
