i should definately do this... i may not be a master programmer, but i can definately figure out how to run ad aware and how to hard reset a crashed machine. Im amazed that people still havent figured this simple stuff out yet... not even to mention installing ram and cards. come on people!:-)
Ive seen serious virus infections drop pretty significantly over the last year. Not because people are more prepared or knowledgable (perhaps they are?). More because when they are infected with a more damaging virus there computer begins to really have problems, and the first they do is call us techs, and we fix it, stopping the problem there. Additionally spyware has help thwart viruses... since spyware tends to cripple the computer, the first thing they do is call us techs. The first thing we do, is run anti-spyware and anti-virus scans, killing both and updating their norton.
Hopefully soon there will be a good spyware program that we can upgrade and forget like norton (yes i know it doesnt always work that way)-- then the general public should be much better off (assuming they have techs who upgrade it for them *wink*)
Excuse me, Mr. pro-french/. readers, please ask yourselves if your vallant French PM is really worth defending before spouting 'ignorant', 'red neck' and 'white trash' references everywhere! How many/. posters do you really think are white trash?? I mean, Im sure there are thousands, or millions rather of people who live in trailer parks and keep up on slashdot-- alas I doubt our friends jeb and clitus slashdotters could afford the fancy pants computer parts you and I take for granted. For example, By my 2005 white trash census statistics most of our white trash slashdotting friends out there probably were able to afford either a dell system, minus a keyboard, or a Mac Mini minus a display and a clue. So needless to say, I doubt they would be posting-- leaving only the small minority of us non-red neck slashdotters to make these comments. So please consider this before making these 'white trash' claims...
Also please keep in mind Chiraque is a politician, and a bad one... I certainly wouldnt defend bush if people made fun of him... (more than they do already)............ bush is dumb.
haha, i wouldnt worry about it. I trashed the french on a comment a few days ago -- i had a couple french people reply how they were going to have a meeting or something to address how to write an angry retort in order to punish me... which did, im still cowering in fear btw;-). However it did nothiong to my karma! aparently no one really cares about the French (aside from maybe French people, but who cares about them anyway:-0) Hurrah! Keep up the French bashing good/. citizen (oh how i love the French, their so silly)
*gets ready for more 'your an ignorant american' replies -- despite not being american*
nope, im not American, but i do find the french worthless.
they pocess no real economic or military power anymore. Yet somehow throughout some parts of the world they are seen as politically powerful, and what do they use that power for? Usually nothing but trying to line their own pockets or making fights over nothingness.
Im not saying they just opose American policy, because i do that a lot. Im saying they opose American and other countries policies just for the sake of being opposition. If you dont believe this, check out some of the things the French PM has said and wake up to reality fool.
care to read the next line?
if they did break something i cared about, someone else would recycle it. Welcome to the news industry!
and you say:
"They aren't interested in having you read their news - they're in the business of selling news information"
wow you dont say... holy crap, i guess im just retarded. oh wait no... actually what you said was just REALLY obvious.
ever consider these newspapers make money from ads and stuff on their websites? Guess not.
Did you consider some newspapers are solely online, because lots of people do click the ads.
its a shame im English, German and Russian. IOh, and m not stupid at all. I understand the world. You have missed my point, if This French press doesnt want me reading their news, then worse for them, i wont read it.
Besides, the french news ive seen are as bias as FOX -- get your facts straight.
and yes im signing this. Hope it doesnt prove im ignorant like my American brothers... by the way, try to get an American to name 15 european countries not to mention capitals, goodluck.
France (paris), Portugal (libson), Italy (rome), Hungary (budapest), Norway (oslo), Sweden, Finland, England (LONDON!), Ireland, Iceland, Ukraine, Russia, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Yugoslavia, ETC!!
So what non-ignorant ethnic background are you "stungod4"
The government is really making doing the legal thing tough lately.
Tax on downloads = more people will download illegally and less legitimately.
Napster (itunes to a lesser extent) with DRM that cant be easily transfered and is in low quality format for $15 for the rest of our lives = More people seek illegal downloads to avoid not only heavy costs but crippled music files
Long waiting, no border security and lack of legal immigration = more people cross illegally and live illegally in the USA
the government with their stupid illogical policies and politics is shifting tax burdens all over the litter guy forcing more us to break the law to do the smart thing for ourselves.
BTW one of the founding principals of an open economy is that each person does what is right for them (and to a lesser extend those around them)-- these government policies anticipate us to not to what is best for ourselves with what we do, this is a fundamental problem i would say. Until it is advantageous, or at least break even to do the right thing, society wont accept it.
heres some news: No one gives a shit what the Agence France Presse (AFP) has to say anyway.
If they dont want me reading their news, so be it -- i honestly cant remember them ever breaking anything or reporting anything i cared about. Even if they did, odds are someone else would recycle it. So if they want less traffic, im happy to help.
but they didnt lie. IE and windows are one in the same, so closely tied that seperating the two would be impossible. It would be like trying to seperate the lard from mcdonalds food, or the ads from realplayer, simply impossible. I mean what is Windows without IE -- IE is used as the browser and the finder for windows... hence why there are so many problems... since any corrupted files or problems with IE translates into system problems and ultimately requires reformatting to fix.
They didnt lie, it is tied... though it may have helped them in court, it is far from a good thing though.
Mike
Firefox is definately a step in the right direction though. The direction of ending the problems of IE by trashing it, rather than waiting for M$ to fix it (M$ fix things-- isnt that a sick ironic joke)
hmmm... so let me get this straight...from what ive heard you cant keep the music only if you pay $15 a month, you cant even download all the songs from many albums (and many more albums are not available at all), you can only use the songs on certain players like from creative and dell (*cough* junk *cough*) and finally the songs are 128 bitrate WMA (mmm gotta love M$ style sub-tape quality encording). Not to mention that the program is clunky, slow and doesnt work with ipods (which has like 70%+ combined mp3 player market share)
and they claim Itunes is bad?
yeah... they are sure to win this fight, esspecially with their informative (aka stupid) commercials and trendy brightly ipod mini colored website (very original). "napster to go" is sure to sweep itunes and free p2p -- and then maybe it will cure cancer./sarcasm

is there a law against canadian politicians running for office in the US if they become "legal residents" (aka cross the border circa Bush amnesty)?
Id love to outsource some of the politicians that vote for things like the DMCA.

haha, dont underestimate the power of stupid people with computers they dont know how to use. I.D.10-T users, the source of all problems :-)
