i doubt there is someone in the U.S. that believes there is an ISP that doesn't treat their customers like cornholio. i guess this intended for other nations.
Once upon a time people bought books, records, and watched movies at a theater. Sometimes people even went twice. Publishers made money off the one sale. When someone liked the book/record/movie, they told people how good it was. Those people then bought the book/record/movie. During that time the publishers still made enough money to be hugely profitable industries. So why is it now, if a publisher of a book or movie or song doesn't make money 7 different times off the same person for the same piece of art they cry, "We are loosing money!". Why are they suing their customers? Why are they trying to put laws in place to imprison people?
you were able to understand that quote? you must be a professional translator in addition to your other job. by the time it got to "it is like it is".i vomited. i definitely believe the kid has a hard time knowing she sat in that, or ANY, class for an hour and a half. i certainly don't believe it.
if your getting normal wages and nothing more your an employee and nothing more. when the company "becomes profitable" you will still be an employee and nothing more. being part owner of a company, creating a strong foundation, working long hours to "grow the crops" so you can reap what you grow is great; but, experience has taught me your company isn't taking you down that road. the company might become very successful. when that happens the investors will reap the rewards or fight each other over the gains until nothing is left. employees will not even be on their minds. unless something is on the books saying "drc7 gets -> this" drc7 will get 0.
i got a trial version from a reseller of those overdrive hotspots because he wanted to see if i could set up a bridge for his lan. i set up a windows machine just in case i would need ie to connect to the management page (which is annoyingly common). as soon as everything was up that machine started doing updates. needless to say, there wasn't anything left afterwards. it worked; but, assuming he is a good netitizen, 50% of his bandwidth will be lost first tuesday of every month.:(
the number of dipshits that try to attach an entire drive to an email because they don't know how the file system works has grown exponentially. the only emails small enough to divide into to 500K are spam. messages that small are always text now days.
i call bullshit. they don't need this to build a case. they need this as precedent to be able to do it again to someone else. they are taking this media blitzed opportunity and converting it into an opportunity to stretch their jurisdiction.
actually i think those are not on peoples list because people that buy games are used to going through a bunch of shit to get to the start of the game. me being one of them. note: the last line is of course for those shit heads that are stupid enough think this post is meant to be flamebait.
fortunately the iphone isn't the only game in town. if a google app is yours, 1) create key, 2) sign file, 3) load to machine, 4) install through manager. if it isn't yours you do steps 3 and 4. imho an app store, even apples, is a good thing. some people that want to look for applications that do what they want to do but are not able to do it themselves. if that was the only way someone could get an app on their device, yes, it would suck royally.
i hacked together a bunch of other people's scripts, cut and paste'd a bunch of freebie code off the web, and stole a few functions out of some existing gpl'd applications. but hey, i haven't edited it in 10 years. does this mean i can sell it as commercial software? considering how crappie most commercial software is these days i think it would fit right in.
i HAD warner bro's cable too. it's them or dsl in my area. when they got tired of me refusing to pay for the full package (tv and phone and isp...) the pile of shit that they are started restricting my bandwidth until it was slower than my dsl lines. then they started blocking all of my udp vpn connections to get around the bullshit dns redirects they do to control your traffic. so i did internal dns cached off a dsl line and https (tor) only over cable. then they basically blocked all of my traffic. i told them to fuck off and yank their shit. i ended up having to diso them myself because they wouldn't come out and do it. then they tried to charge me $100 for the pos cable modem but still wouldn't come out and pick it up. bottom line is, anyone that is the only game in town is a cock sucker. it doesn't matter who they are they will always fuck as many people as possible until they loose control because they know the lifespan of their business is limited. never fear, the next guy to set up a monopoly of any kind (netflix most likely) will step in and do the same shit.

"You aren't buying a book." You mean to say, "You are no longer buying a book". :)
is that written in stone?

whew! i thought you were slandering virgins on slashdot. that would explain the lack of flamebait moderations.

cool! using outlook always felt like someone was poking me in the eye. now maybe others will be able to relate.
because DirectX sounds cooler to marketing?
why do all of that work when they could just download ubuntu like everyone else.
w00t! now that the whole life on other planets question has been answered, can we please start colonizing mars?
hmmm maybe what this country needs is an overreaction committee on overreactions. they could even outsource the oversite to the private sector.
that dead people in oklahoma give a shit, or that people in oklahoma can read?
