    $10 says Walmart is using their "we will handle your shipping" contracting thing to undermind more little guys again. The only markets they haven't beat down with that tactic is the auto parts and multimedia sectors.

    Agreed. In a time when people are more aware of the technological advantages of products, better quality has become a requirement. Back at the time things started becoming available for the home user there was 0 information about what products were available to consumers other than what was advertised or passed along by word of mouth.

    I'm curious as to why your confused? Do you think a forged certificate is self singed? Do you think someone would take the time to create and sign a certificate they are presenting instested of the original? I mean really! Do you honestly think someone goes through the process of using SSL/OpenSSL to create a certificate then sign it so they can present it instead of the real cert?!?

    Of course I've never done a MIM attack, forged certs, created proxies or anything like that. But then, what Security Engineer has?

    The thought of signs and arrows on my glasses or beamed directly into my retina doesn't sound like an improvement to me. It sounds more like purposefully giving myself a cataracts. Augmenting the way I see the world by improving my mind would be a much better thing.

    Yeah! You tell him! If the browsers would differentiate the warnings "This site is using a self signed cert" instead of a "The certificate does not match the site" people tune out the warnings all together. It is the browsers fault completely. There is a huge difference between a forged certificate and a self signed certificate.

    The only reason microsoft made the last two contributions is because the products are popular and they did not have a presence. For them to stay "required" they have to participate. Those areas are Open Source so the contributions have to be open too. If there are no applications for Moodle that rely on windows, microsoft could loose it's "it requires windows" desktop status in the schools. Schools are the last place Microsoft would like to find themselves unneeded.

    I don't see the big deal. If your windows VM wants to pump crap on its virtual drive let it. You have a 1T drive right? That is the cool thing about demoting jenky OS's to virtual machines. You can still use those outdated applications that haven't been fully replaced by a Linux/OSX version, not worry about it BSoD'ing your machine, and let it do all of it's BS updates it wants.

    $10 says it still uploads to your machine every time you do a windows update but asks if you want to upgrade to IE8. Then, if you say no, it deletes it from the temp directory so you can upload it over and over until you are tired of the massive upload every time you do a windows update.

    And don't forget aiming. I have table shaped indents in my forehead from playing FPS's on a console without a mouse and keyboard. Auto aim? WTF! I think they mean Auto Aim sometimes. Give me a mouse so I can point. Then I'll shoot the f'n thing dag'nabit.

    +1 Bring it on youngstuff! Most of the people that played StarCraft played WarCraft and WarCraftII and are now over 40. Find me someone under the age of 40 that can play WarCraftII and I'll show you 10 40 year olds that will beat them into the ground. Now get off my lawn you little twit!

    I agree. The best code I ever worked on reduced in size exponentially from its inception because the participants were good enough to turn multiple functions into single functions that did what was needed. Give me a programmer that looks at my code, and doesn't laugh until they barf, then churns out 14 lines that does what sending a variable through 2 of my functions once did.

    Why couldn't it be a simple web interface error? 20 or %20 is a space. It could be a bug cause by input cleansing that managed to cause a bug . %20%20%20%20%20%20%20%12 Isn't 12 or %12 a line feed or something?
