Sorry, but Mr Gates of Redmond did not win with his entry "Microsoft Word 6.0" because the entry conditions clearly state that the virus must be "harmless and Benign"
I love BBC radio, good music, good choice, hilarious comedy programs, and a listen again web interface. Here is my wacky breakfast show, give it a try! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/wogan/
Who wouldn't be scared of tux the penquin, according to this report I just read by Microsoft, his diet consists of the brains of tiny children, and Linus Torvalds is the reincarnation of Hitler an dStalin put together
Both Asimov and Heinlein are spinning in their graves so fast that they're time travelling.
There's a sci-fi story in that idea somewhere, you should probably patent the idea.
At no point did I say I would send it to anyone you damn troll, I was merely offering to discus the book with someone who was interested rather than posting off-topic crap in a discussion page!
His book of short stories entitled I, robot is simply fantastic. I have it in pdf format if you PM me. It's nothing like the hollywood garbage of the same name, before i accidently start a flamewar!
You could say that Bit torrent is the best method for getting the new versions of linux distros, which lets be honest, it is. If you are a computer science student, this is an extremely good excuse to use bit torrent
Seriously mate?
Honestly I have never seen them, and they can't be that good if I don't see them, perhaps someone could provide a link to a valve site where I can purchase as space. Or perhaps these ads belong to the owners of the server you're connecting to?
I have been running steam since November, and I have not seen a single advertisement. If you run steam, perhaps you can tell me what these adverts look like?
Valve software use Steam to give new maps and mods to its customers for free. I don't mean to start a flamewar, but most companies, not just valve release extra maps and content for free.
Yes, and no. There are some issues with formatting and the positioning of content, I hope that this partial release of information can help the OO.org team to improve OO write.
Very true, I seem to remmeber a very amusing penny arcade, very simialr to that post, it was about tribes 3, and featured three frames. In the first frame there was a man squeezing a stone crying out that there was "no blood in this stone!". The second frame contained a well, with the caption "there's no water in this well". the final frame contained a horse and a man with a flogigng stick and the speech "I just love beating this dead horse". I cannot remember the name and therefore connot provide a URL and I would greatly apprceiate someone else posting the URL
I am indeed looking forward to the new level (but not to having to uprgade my x300:( ) Also a bit of-topic, but those environments in your sig look beautiful, even if the text is somewhat cryptic
This was mentioned in the steam news system, a long time ago, I remember valve said that it would be a graphics intensive level, designed only for high-end systems
It's kinda hard for me to talk about this, but back when Mario bro's first came out, I couldn't stop playing it, but then I took it too far. I decided to see what Mario's magic mushrooms were really like, and from then on it was a downward spiral of jumping on turtles and falttening brown mushrooms, I've been clean for a few years now, and I hope that kids jsut don't get influenced in the same way I was.
I don't want the handheld gaming market to become flooded with third party games
What I meant to say is that the market could become flooded with only poor quality third party games
I hope I do not sound too much like a fanboy, but the handheld market is Nintendo's last "stronghold" as it were, especially here in the UK were Sony is the market leader by a huge lead. I don't want the handheld gaming market to become flooded with third party games, like the PS home console format. The best games for the GBA right now, are not the third party offerings, they are Nintendo's first party games.
9 days, and i'm loving it

At what point does a virus become hamless and benign, i'm interested in what the /. community think so fthat statement.

You can stay, but the ferengi in the gorilla suit has to go!
It does state that "GamesIndustry.biz has the word that what was just speculation the other day is now fact."
Thanks for pointing that one out, i'd forgotten all about that one, is there anything video-game related PA hasn't done a parody of?
You're preaching to the converted mate, remember two months ago when they tolds us VAC 2 will be out soon

Don't you see what's happened, the video games and video game programs are amking you suicidal and violent, just like the media said they would
