I read a review of the CurseFree in a newspaper a while ago, it seems like when it comes across an inapropriate word, it will write a more appropriate one on screen and mute the audio for a second or two. Now the newspaper said that it didn't work very well at all and produced results like "Rear out Fraisier" instead of "Butt out...", but "Penis Van Lesbian" ROFL. Children are going to hear these words anyway and it won't do anything to prevent things like innuendo which is much more common

If I had the money, I'd get an athlon, but to do so i'd need a new mobo $125 at least, and the cpu, while with the celeron 2, i'd just need a new cpu

  4. Re:Graphics Card TV-out? on PS2 + Upscan Converter = Easy DVD to VHS Copying · · Score: 1

Most DVD player software for windows requires that the video card is able to macrovision it's tv output(composite/s-video) before it will play to the tv out. Of course there are hacks for this, DVD Genie comes to mind, but this won't work out of the box...You could also use an exteranl scan converter(VGA->S-VHS/Composite) box, but the quality would sureley suffer...The dvd anywhere might work though, considering that IIRC macrovison works by supressing sync pulses or putting them out at the wrong intervals, the Composite->RF->Air->RF->Composite conversion might cause those sync pulses to be regenerated, i'm not sure on that though...anyway, with the Apex AD600 able to turn off macrovison and reigions for $160, this playstation 2 thing is no big deal

Back when he had it on his S3 Virge, it was all blurry and whatnot. He plays games occasionally, so the G400's lack of 'amazing' frame rate is ok for him.

If I were making the product, sure I'd use GPL, but is Apple or Netscape wrong for making their own license, of course not. It's not our software that is being open sourced, it is the company that wrote it's software. The GPL may be an excellent license, but I say that we should be thankful that the open source process gets any recoignition at all from companies.
