Exactly. The old price will be 250% of the new price or, in other words, 150% more than the new price. Try brushing up on comprehension before you criticize somebody else's mathematics.
Well, in that case, that's a great idea, though it's generally considered a good idea to start with something like "I realize that was just a joke but..." so people like me don't falsely call you an idiot:D
It's really telling about the/. community that they complain about the old look for ages and, as soon as it is changed, they complain about the new look and insist that we go back to the old one. Granted, I like the old one better, too, but I've been saying that we shouldn't change it for as long as everyone's been complaining.
I guess I just don't understand the mentality you have about not using the weapon. The way I see it, it's an excellent way to make an easy game difficult for oneself and to increase potential fun and yadda yadda yadda. It's, in fact, a commonly used technique by many persons for any type of game. They decide to try to get through Halo using only the weapons they begin holding or to beat All Star Mode in Melee without smash attacks, or they restrict themselves to certain weapons or strategies on multiplayer, or, even in RL physical games like football (recreational, not professional, obviously) they restrict themselves in some way sometimes just to increase the challenge and fun factor. This is no different from those cases.
Also, I agree that C is an excellent option, and probably the one that I'd enjoy most, too, but, realistically speaking, we never get that. B is what we are usually given, especially with regards to getting the über-weapon after it's no longer useful or relevant. No sense of achievement can make me forget that I have no use for the weapon I just received. And I agree that there is a certain satisfaction of getting that weapon, even if I feel disappointed for not being able to use it, but if the current puzzle is just long, boring, and tedious, it is more likely that I'll say "this is work, screw it" than "if I can get through this I can get an über-weapon that will advance me to the next long, boring, and tedious puzzle."
Oh, and, for the record, my favorite games of all time are the Legend of Zelda games and I take pride in collecting everything, even when it gets tedious at a few points, but it doesn't come anywhere near B, which most games I can think of do. It probably falls somewhere near C, but I'd still say that it would be fun to play it as an A game.
A) Über-weapon is available from the start, but you have the option not to use it if you want to increase the challenge yourself
B) You start with a pistol, which is very difficult to kill anything with. In order to get the Über-weapon you have to go through a very boring and tedious puzzle. When you get it, there's no longer a point to having it.
It was a decoy! It was meant to be broken and the South would have won if the North took the bait! Irony is so sweet!
(Yes, that is entirely a joke. I still expect to see 15 people asking where I found that information, and not just the ones looking for a +5 Funny. Oh well, such is life.)
if you don't like it then tell us some specifics on why you don't like it!
Gladly. The short version:
-The score being on the far right of the comment rather than near the title.
-The colors look like too sharp a contrast (not to the point of eye-hurtiness... just enough to look wrong)
-Newspost boxes separate all the info into small boxes without defining the newspost box (it just looks screwy)
-Overuse of gradients
And that's a small sampling. I couldn't tell you if any of them are real design faux pas, but I don't like them.
They're free to use the browser as they wish, but if the reason is because they don't understand a basic concept that is usually considered part of computer literacy, it's an issue.
I think the GP wasn't stating that there was any problem with bookmarks. The problem was in bookmarks and Google search being the only ways his parents know how to navigate the web. Unlike merely using bookmarks as a convenience, that's a serious problem.
Hey, even if you assume that the GP was telling the truth, there was no conclusive indicator that it was a female... though it's probably better to believe that it was....
Well, here goes my karma, but I don't care this time. This has to be said either way.
Are certain subjects untouchable? No. Is this too soon? No. If we cannot face major issues like this except in mourning, we are lost as a society. We need to be able to make jokes and laugh, to play games, and face these issues in other non-serious manners. Yes, we still need to have proper respect and whatnot for these events, but we can't be so caught up in them that we forget to laugh. It's part of what makes us human.
I'm more worried about how people know the 6 million Jews dead figure, but they don't know the 5 million others dead making for a total of 11 million dead in the Holocaust alone. Then you can add in the rest of the WW2 numbers.
Well, according to basic economic theory, small businesses are good because they make sure that big businesses won't ride prices too high. The only ways small businesses can viably compete with a big business are price and quality (look at gas prices now: the product of not having a good supply of small suppliers)
Actually, while the GP reeks of flamebait, a dev's nationality *can* affect game quality because of things like cultural influences. Of course, based on what we've seen, American devs as a general set have not been any better or worse than Japanese devs, though many Japanese gamers may disagree.

You should see a repairman about your sarcasm detector, because it seems to be failing.
Except for the fact that the judge ordered one (1) game, in which case there is no skill involved.

A is definitely more fun. B is what you get.

Well, some people use M or mega when they mean m or mibi, so it's really ambiguous these days.
This does not beg the question. It may raise the question, but it does not beg the question.
Your left and right hands don't count as girlfriends.

I have a Sprint PCS Vision enabled phone and I pay $5/mo. for unlimited web. I don't get spiffy tv channels, just unlimited web.
A) It wasn't
B) If your revolution succeeds, that doesn't matter anyway.

I seem to remember a huge campaign with a free junior frosty immediately thereafter boosting sales to above what it was before the incident...
