    Soldered on this, glued in that. Now, we can make hardware that won't go obsolete after a few years, but now also, people want to make everything so it can't be repaired.

    Like they say, we are just borrowing this planet from our children.

    Yes, the graphics are likely better, but sadly if you want a powerful dual-core, there isn't much to cheer about.

    I agree.

    Police are supposed to protect the peace--not be thoughtless killing machines. We live in a time, when anyone wants to die, that's all they need do, is antagonize a police officer. They are that reliable.

    We checks and balances were supposed to be on police officers have obviously failed.

    I witnessed firsthand police aggression, when a police officer tried coercing me to take his version of the truth while taking a statement. I had to raise my hands and step back because I thought he was going to kill me. Try dealing with that after you have been hit by a car.

    Face it, Gnome was ruined, perhaps even sabotaged. Year after year, they turned their backs on users, removed any power the user might have had all in the name of making it "clean."

    Gnome should either stand or die and a lesson: do not design by infatuation.

    It's dangerous to ride a bike in traffic because the lawmakers don't really give a damn about cyclists, and won't until they pay the lawmakers as much as the automakers.

    Cyclists can't even legally take a left hand turn.
    No cyclist or motorist can stop a vehicle fast enough to keep from being doored.
    It's impossible to see what a motorist will do from inside a car because of total internal reflection.
    Cars generally do not have enough visibility to give enough situational awareness.
    I am 49 years old, and never in my life have I heard of the police catching a bicycle thief.

    For every cyclist on the road, there's one less car.

    Well, we have a lot of tech here, that's exported all around the world, so until we are spitting dust, people here will be making money, for now.

    People here in Silicon Valley have done their part and let their lawns die, and yet, we don't hear anything about export farms making any sacrifice.
    If the powers that be were serious about water conservation, they would tax it, but how would that tax be distributed for residence, agriculture, and industry?
