"We have one original thing in Heroes out there."

I have to disagree with this. It might be original for a TV show, but the characters and storylines are all far too similar to many comic books, to the point where entire arcs come off as nothing but thinly disguised ripoffs (days of future past from the xmen, most notably).

I'm glad to see that genre being taken on in a serious manner by the TV networks, but it really can't be called original any more than yet another adaptation of the Odyssey can be called original.

I think you're overestimating the capabilities of the average user. Most people in any organization aren't power users who easily and quickly pick up new programs, even if they have a similar function.

And even better are the fun historically based games that encourage you to find out about things outside of the game, that function as an introduction to the subject. I was 10 or so, and didn't know a think about European imperialism in asia, Opium, and the devestation of economies. Taipei mentioned a lot of those things that I didn't understand, and forced me to go and read so I could figure it out.

"some legal analysts say he 'might' indeed have a bit of a leg to stand on here." I seriously doubt that. The only mention in Article I is that the vice president functions as the president of the senate, and can only vote in the case of a tie. All the issues regarding elections, duties, obligations and presence within the governmental scheme are in Article II, which pertains to the executive. It seems pretty clear that the intent was to place the vice president within the executive branch. All that being said, the office of vice president is one of the few mistakes that the founders made in writing the constitution. Although it could be worse, it used to be the losing candidate from the other party was seated as vice president, assuming that in a fit of patriotism he'd set aside any personal feelings and function in complete accord with his opponent.

I found the shortness detracted from the fun as it was just over way too soon and suddenly, but it's still a pretty good value for what you pay. The game isn't as tight as the base Half-Life 2 (there's a bit too much lead alex around with the flashlight and let her do the work). The gameplay is still very solid, and I didn't find any major problems with anything. In all, I liked it, but it wasn't as good or satisfying as Half-Life 2 was, even considering I expected less as I was paying a lot less.

Except that the art establishement at the time did attempt to run Monet and the other impressionists out of town for just that reason, expecting and demanding photorealism in their art. Then that very art establishment got run out of town, later on, for failure to adapt.

Which is, interestingly enough, exactly what is happening here.
