On thread, I would rather see someone do an extended mini-series over a season or two on the Dune books. Give it a go on the Sci Fi channel or *cough-choke-gag* Fox network, and see what happens. If it goes the way of Firefly, then sell the series plus all un-aired episodes on DVD. What would they have to lose?
