As I'm on the BSD side of things nearly all the time, I'd find it fairly interesting to know like, what are your machine stats, download stats, etc. Do you run BSD, Linux, or something else? What hardware? How much trafic?
I'm pretty sure it's December 22. June 21 is the longest. We have this nice odd-numbered year, so things don't divide as nicely as they might. According to my calender and my other pagan friends and whatnot. I was born on midsummer. it's all very nice.
This isn't vietnam or basic civil rights. Not everyone understands what's wrong with this. They understand not wanting to go to war and die. They understand not wanting to get beaten up buy guys in bed sheets.
As long as it works for people, they don't care. How many americans do you think go to another country to purchase a DVD? How many people(again, mostly americans) know there are other operating systems out there not from Microsoft or Apple? Perportionaly, probably very few. It's going to take something incredibly obvious, such as someone getting busted for selling perminant markers which could be used to block out the first track of a copy protected CD. Then people will understand
ass the article fails to spell out the details, other than it is a "non-restrictive open source lisence" we can assume this means something like the BSD or X lisences, especially since MS co developed it. The was a daemonnews thread a while back about Bill Gates saying how governments should use BSD-style lisences for the absolue maximum effectevness on stuff they develope. It just allows more embracing and extending to happen.
caffeine, like speed, riddlin, marijuna, etc, stimulates the scretion of the nuerotransmitter dopemine. Dopemine defficiany is the cause of parkinsons. So smokers, dopers, and Pete Townshend are all parkinson-free, too.
So....you are saying the less technicaly inclined are going to know it can even happen? I'd bet money on the fact the majority of people in the world don't know what ROM is. Otherwise Gateway wouldn't sell so many, and people would realise Windows is not "all that it can be"

in my AP Biology class we made a strain of e.coli that was resistant to the antibiotic ampicilin. That was pretty fun. We also got them to turn green when they broke down lactose (or glactose...which ever is bigger...i forget).
I guess this is more impressive though. I want to be a bio major in college, so i hopefully will get to do some neat stuff like this.
I'm an intern php faker at thomas jefferson national accelerator facility this summer. I work in the group with the FEL (Free Electron Laser). Anyhow, apparantly if youwere to wave your hand infront of the beam, it'd lop it off and not cauterise it, therefor you'd be handless and bleeding to death. They're making it even more powerful. Put in a new super conducting cryomodule(spelling) yesturday. 3 linear accelerators and shit. the beem moves at near light speed. it's all very impressive. Anyway, the US Navy funds this project in addition to DOE. Apparantly they used the old one for blowing up missle nose cone material and shit. It would in fact be cool to point that thing at someone. Too bad it's all in this recycled circle thingie, and is the size of the damned building.

Isn't this the Java-like programming language for Inferno, the Plan9-like operating system? Isn't it also the slang term for pergitory (which, iirc, is also the name of some other component of the Infernon system).
It almost sounds like they're about to jump mascotts to Beastie as well:)
Thanks to the wonderful people at the RIAA and MPAA, the once-beloved-by-hackers WOTC will be able to shut down anyone playing with cards they don't own! Seriously though, I used to play some online MTG games, and even I did it. I'd build a dream deck for the game, when in reality I didn't own most of those cards. When I played it against my friends from "Stragtegic Gameing Club" (calling it Magic Club wouldn't look as good on college apps, so we played 'risk' once a month), I'd usig desks like the ones i actualy had. But there was a whole lot of nothing stoping me from picking on kids by using a pure type-1 tourniment winner or something.
but isn't that WHY it's better than ia64?

But so is the constitution and noone much complains about upgrading that to version 2.0
