  1. Re:Consumer devices on Where Are Operating Systems Headed? · · Score: 1

Maybe I'm just throwing ideas out but I think that all these devices alone will not have the power or functionality to work together if you don't have a computer to help. But when you have say your ipod, iphone, your mac computer, and apple TV thing you can have your computer get all the info from all the devices and it will then go out and say ok, well the person is on there ipod listing to music so we should update their screen with this info that pertains to their phone service, and that this show will be on in an hour and if you like this show that other people like then you might like this one too that they all like. Kinda like getting an RSS feed from your computer that is the single main internet access point and it goes and relays info to what ever device you are currently on. That way you can stay up to date and for what ever device you are currently using it will give you info you want.

I agree, my grandmother still uses hotmail, I set her up an account that was the same exact login name and password, I ported all her contacts and all she had to do was tell the family to send email to @gmail.com instead of @hotmail.com. Pretty simple, but still no go. She just does not want to move over to it so I guess gmail will have to offer something for most people to want other than the storage because other places have larger storage that go beyond what they need anyways. 100megs is more than enough for my grandma.

I then write it down and before I go to sleep I write what ever I need to do that I know down and add to the list after I wake up. Without sleep I would probably be lost during my day. Many times I have debates with my room mates where they compare homosexual marriage to loving a dog or a book. I want to know what the deal is with this. Why must people say "Well if I can't marry my dog then why should I marry another guy?" Then also many of the men have no problem when it comes to two females as long as they are "hot" which gives a double standard that makes me wonder how they back up anything that relates to gay marriage.

As far as the smaller market for the Wii I think that is a little false. Comparing to the number of PS3s being released compared to the potential Wiis plus the fact that everyone is Wii crazy right now I think that the selling of them will be far greater than the PS3. This would mean more launch games sold, and most likely that people who buy one will continue to play wii games and get more games for it. I know many people that did that with a dreamcast, so even if it fails it still has a great chance to sell games still. But I doubt it will fail.

I would like it where each machine prints off who you voted for and has a thing on the back that says keep this for verification purposes for x many days or months. You sign it and hold onto it for however long just in case there is a problem and they need to recount everything. Then the city, state, or whatever opens up places for people to drop them off at or has it so you can put it in an envelope addressed to them with your return envelope, and no stamp so it can be mailed to them. That way there is a paper trail for all votes.
