tiny generator that uses local vibrations... could be used in devices such as pacemakers
Hmmm, "local vibrations"? However you slice *that* sounds better than the current generation of "self-winding" pacemakers which require you to rotate end-over-end for an hour each day!
Remember: TPM is there so the vendors can trust the PC, not the consumers (hardware owners) - who are, as far as the vendors are concerned, untrustworthy...
students identified... as suspected file sharers. "The notices say offending students have 20 days to settle with the association by paying it about $3,000 to $5,000 or be taken to court without possibility of a settlement."
Guilty until proven innocent. In related news: Kneecaps may NOT be substituted in lieu of payment.
Is this all really, truly just because a handful of zealots MIGHT crash more planes into more buildings? People joke about "if you do 'x', the terrorists win". In all seriousness, the truth is, if we are going to live in fear we may as well forfeit.
To sum up: If we sacrifice all our freedoms for the illusion of security, the terrorists win anyway...
One could argue that if AT&T can filter copyrighted content, they can filter p0rn. When they don't, some lawsuit will argue that they should have: Why won't AT&T think of the children?
...other things come into play in writing efficient programs such as, a debugger, memory profiler tools and above all a good understanding of the inner working of the Linux kernel and its processes...
Not really. I've written many, many programs for various Unix and Unix-like systems over the past 20 years and only rarely have I needed a debugger or memory profiler.
Furthermore, understanding the "inner workings...", while beneficial, only really matters when writing programs that interact with said "inner workings".
In short, one doesn't need an IDE or SDK to develop quality software, just skill and experience -- though the former can be helpful when the latter are lacking.
However, the truth is that the lack of an SDK means that there won't be a killer application for the iPhone.
Right, 'cause it's impossible to develop software (and/or quality software) without an SDK. I guess we'll have to pull a MacGyver: get me Emacs, a compiler, some libraries, a pack of gum, some yarn, a can of WD-40 and some Hot Pockets...
Yes, fahrbot-bot, they are most definitely technically illegal:...
Actually, I agree with you completely. What I should have written, to be more clear, is that simple firing is not technically illegal, but against tradition. Obviously, firing in the midst of shenanigans or investigations of such is illegal. I should have taken more time to be clear... Thanks.
Was the firing of certain federal prosecutes by bush any less questionable than Clinton firing *all* of them? (Probably yes in this case)
I believe you misunderstand the situation. Almost universally, all federal prosecutors are asked to resign whenever the administration changes - Bush Jr., Clinton, Bush Sr., Regan, etc.. all replaced their prosecutors. Clinton staggered his over a short period of time after taking office to mitigate the transition effects.
Additionally, prosecutors are (by tradition) almost never, barring exceptional circumstances, replaced mid-term and certainly never for political reasons -- which seems to be reasons of this administration.
While not technically illegal, these actions by the current administration are distasteful and demonstrate Bush's continuing disrespect for the office of the President of the USA.
I don't know, I've seen people use their Crackberrys one-handed. With the flat touchscreen and touch gestures (like sliding) shown on the iPhone commercials, I don't know if it will be as usable in one hand, especially without looking at the screen.
Don't get me wrong, the iPhone looks really cool and I like the flexibility of touchscreens. I'm just saying that there could be a downside. There are already enough monkeys driving and fiddling with their current phones that have buttons they can feel...
Anyone notice that the iPhone commercial shows the person using two hands, one to hold and one to operate. I wonder how usable all these slidy operations are and if the phone is usable when held in one hand and operated with the thumb -- like I see many people do with their current phones and music players?
I don't know if I want a device that requires two hands to make it useful...
Speaking from experience is he? Sounds like the "unbalanced minds" are in the UK Parliament.

All the "wrong-sized" genetic variants suffocated from rampant nose-boogers eons ago...
Now go wash your hands :-)
Like all things in life, these are just primitive, degenerate forms of bending.
My guess is that it may be harder to fix things in Vista without breaking something else (like DRM functions) ...
I guess we've evolved to the point where we can be intelligently designed...

Or rather, commercial airplanes. I don't believe such rules apply to private or chartered planes, such as in which them rich peoples fly...
I believe it's been integrated into the build: ESC-8 ESC-X duke-nukem
The appropriateness of this depends entirely on the cat.
The same thing, I suspect, that happens with human females:
She'll be very satisfied, until the batteries die.
Other than worshipping athletes, politicians, movie stars and other, so called, "heros"...

Put Nixon's head in a jar on that thing and storm the White House...
