What if I come up with some new crackpot theory tying the price of tea in china to the average incidence of Herpes amongst 19-22 year olds and then predict the price in 5 years based on that theory. I then get lucky, and the price matches my prediction. Have I totally kicked ass with my new theory of Herpes-driven tea prices?

Like I said, I do believe in man-made GW, but the "other side" can easily find one loon who happened to be right and point to him as proving their point. We need broader theory and broader, more often repeatable tests.

They're betting the farm on the fact that the only device 70% of users might need in 1 year is their phone. Seriously, think about that.

They want a compute continuum. You can just use your phone and plug a keyboard, mouse, monitor into it and it's a pretty fast Atom chip with SSD storage, 2 gigs of ram, and whatever monitor you want. Then you unplug it and it's a phone, same computer though. Maybe they sell a "laptop" with nothing but a keyboard and monitor and you slide the phone into it - instant portable laptop. Dumb Touchscreen device you connect wirelessly to your phone - instant tablet.

All on the same fucking device. That's god damn hot, I don't care what you say. Some people will need a full blown computer, but a lot of people just need web browsing, videos, and a few x86 apps here and there. You can easily do that on a ca. 2013 Atom phone with 2G of memory.

Then they changed the employee discount program to be more expensive with multiple lines. They also seem to just give the customer a huge "F U" and tack like $6 or more of random fees and shit on your bill.

My $30 is (almost) $30. No fees. No overages. I theoretically pay a few bucks sales tax, but I found a place to get the T-mobile cards for like $29 for a $30 card with no tax.

I'm personally trying to end the bullshit subsidized model the US has. Sure, I paid $620 for a nice-ass Galaxy Nexus, but over 2 years I'm paying less and over 3 years if I keep the same phone I'll save like $500.

I detest Apple so the icing on the cake is Apple would be in a world of hurt with an unsubsidized model. I hope Sprint goes under, they have made some very stupid decisions and betting all their money on the iPhone is the biggest one.

Stop lying. The NHS delivers a better _average_ healthcare outcome, it doesn't deliver better healthcare outcomes to everybody.

Under the NHS, the bum down the street gets much better care, and I get somewhat less care than I get here. Good for a nation as a whole, really good for others, not good for many.

Don't get me wrong, I've changed my mind in the last year and am mostly for a single payer type system with a sliding deductible ($0 for the truly poor, up to maybe $10k for the wealthy). I just wanted to point out that guns aren't why we have crime. I live in a place that's safe as shit, I don't care about arbitrary US-wide statistics.

  23. Depends on where you live. Picking "the US" as some sort of monolith is a bit childish, why not say North America? There are lots of places in the US with far better crime statistics than Holland, and lots of other places with far worse.

"Huge population", btw, implies "huge proportion" in this context.

  24. You really are a stupid cunt. Let me break this down for you.

My point was that the US is a big country with a larger percentage of poor people, this is why there's more crime not because of gun rights.

We have many different cultures, a huge border with a third world country, and a history of slavery that created an institutionally poor segment of the population. Holland is tiny, far more homogenous than the US, and has a far different divide of cultures.

Here's an idea, cunt. How about we compare the burglaries per 100k people in South Dakota (324)? I mean per 100k is per 100k, right? How about Danbury CT?

  25. No it isn't. The US has a much larger percentage of institutionally poor people. That's why the crime is higher, not because of gun rights.
