The big difference with OpenDNS is that if you register an account with them, you can control what domains are used for the lookups, so you could get a particular domain to point somewhere else instead. You can't do this with Comcast as they have control of it.
Except you can already contact the seller BEFORE the auction is over, so how is using skype any different from a simply message over ebay - they don't filter their messages, just add a warning saying that they give no protection to anything bought outside of eBay which I suppose is pretty obvious.
Well security for one should be better, plus any netbook with an SSD will run far better on 7 than XP.
The old myth of Win 7(or even Vista) using more RAM simply isn't true. RAM is meant to be used/cached for the OS, not to sit there being unused. The memory management of 7 (and even Vista) is massive improvement over that of XP. Granted on a system with 512MB or less, Vista/7 will really struggle but with 2GB, (or even with 1GB), it still works well.
I've been running the 7 Beta/RC for the last 4 months or so (on a system with only 1GB) and it really isn't that bad at all. In fact it seems to really help manage Firefox's heavy RAM usage a times far better than XP ever did.
Bare in mind that netbook hardware is most certainly anything but current. Performance is roughly equivalent to a 5 year old Pentium M. The only difference is that it has been shrunk and power consumption reduced to the point where 5 year old mid class laptop has been reduced significantly in size.
Running Win 7 on a modern mobile (Core 2 Duo) CPU would give a much better comparison, and really show the true benefits it has.
You say it was faster in every benchmark, but really apart from the battery life (and even then), the differences between them were minimal to the point that unless you actually ran these benchmarks yourself, the average person would never notice the difference.
Hence in this case, the benefits of Win7 far outweigh the ever so slight reduction in battery life.
I'm amazed also that everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that the article is comparing RETAIL prices (in the EU) to UPGRADE prices in the US. They won't be selling Upgrade copies in the EU, so as a result have dropped the cost of the Retail price down.
If you actually compare the EU retail, to the US retail, the prices are actually very fair, and more or less the same.
- both S-E are equally crazy. You need to connect the headphones to the bottom of the phone via a proprietary connector! This is where power and USB cable also go! Still they would charge over USB but you need the proprietary cable and you need to have the proper drivers in the OS (yes, to charge). Because everything connects there you have interesting combinations like you can't charge when listening to the headphones or you can't listen to the radio while charging (because radio needs the headphones plugged in for antenna)
Wrong! The Sony Ericsson charger's 'fastport' adaptor has both a male (to plug into the phone) and a female (for accessories like headsets) connection. One at each end, so you can listen to music whilst it is charging very easily.
Except Apple and linux aren;t able to play back Blu-ray because they don't have that stuff in there. If it wasn't there, you wouldn't be able to watch in it in Vista as well, and it ONLY affects stuff like Blu-ray, there is no affect on non-DRM'd stuff.
No, Vista/7 will only stop you from doing that with DRM'd stuff, (which if you didn't have Vista you wouldn't be able to watch anyway), so it's a complete non-issue.
Third, so the 4770 has approximately the same or better performance than a 4850 that costs $130-150.
Nope, the 4770 was designed to replace the 4830, and benchmark shows it getting close to the 4850 but only rarely (beating it by a slight amount). It's more like the same or nearly as good, but definitely not better than the 4850.
Really only in the last 2 years have GPU prices come down (ever since ATI launched their 3000 and 4000 series after the abysmal 2000 ones and nVidia could no longer charge a fortune for theirs).
Because you can actually turn Domain redirecting off??

Neither do the XPS line of notebooks Dell has and they are still cheaper than MacBooks.
Ah I see what you mean now. They will still get the Full version as promised.
See the last paragraph: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10301299-56.html
Yes, MS have already said that they will get the normal version (that the rest of the world does).

Erm in what way does HTC make crappy hardware??, I'd take the far more advanced hardware in pretty much any 2 year old HTC over a new 3GS any day.

It's actually called BitLocker, rather than keeper. ;)

No, the chargers which come with the Sony Ericssons do this, you don't have to 'buy' anything.
And if I didn't make it clear before the charger's fastport adaptor literally fits inbetween the headset adaptor and the phone itself.

It is so hard to look?

You realise this 50p is peanuts to what it will actually cost to provide everyone with broadband right?
it works out at upto £200mil MAX per year, that is not gonna go very far..
Frontpage - maybe, but the latest versions of Expression Web is miles better and EASILY comparable to Dreamweaver.
Until you've actually used it, keep quiet!

FYI ODF 1.2 still hasn't even been finalised yet, so you can't really blame Microsoft for not yet implementing it until its finished.
Also, it is a stand-alone executable, not an installer.
So is Foxit (if you get the zipped version).

Wrong, the Killer NIC doesn't run whilst the PC is sleeping.
Except they aren't stolen, don't go spouting the same rubbish the MAFIAA do.
