Sorry but I went a bit far on this however I thought I should better explain my Journey. Oh I left out that in the begining I had no ill will towards MS and had bought my first Pc's with windows 2.8 (theirs a blast from the past, I still recall going into Bestbuy with $1 and the front page from my windows 2.8 manual and walking out with the windows 2.9 upgrade) preinstalled. The hating came later after witnessing some of the things MS did to rise to where it had been.
As I said im over it now lifes to short to waste so much of it hating so many, And it only wears you down and makes you a crazy bitter old fart with no life anyway.
Actually i bought three upgades of vista retail the forth was a free thank you from MS for my help in the Vista beta program. I got into the beta by responding to a web request for beta testers found a couple bugs easy and fullfilled the requirements for a free copy of vista. Bought 3 upgrades cheap enough to upgrade the other XP PC's in the house and the rest is history. Had to try the upgrade bug though to see if it would work, It does.
My fifth Vista came free of charge as well with my purchase of a compatable duo core toshiba laptop.:D

Because the OEM Vista tie's itself to the hardware and activate on any other peice of hardware IE new CPU or different motherboard if yours happens to go bad/die, Then you not only have to buy a new mobo but also a new OEM Vista.
The retail on the other hand and this includes the retail upgrade doesn't tie itself to the hardware and can be moved to a whole new machine with new cpu, mobo, memory, HD and DVD drive and still be reactivated.
I love my 4 retail vista's keeps me from spending out more every year when i upgrade my machine to new hardware:)
I would never trade my crackberry for an Iphone as it just doesn't compete with a blackberry.
The berries better on almost all levels and it allows background programs doesn't crash has no viral apps plus they don't have to pay the apple tax nor are they forced to be sold through the blackberry store.
The Iphone looks nice has a bigger screen that is touch sensitive but thats all it has over the blackberry but thoughs pluses are minused by the other stuff plus it's wired in battery memory etc...

Sorry but I went a bit far on this however I thought I should better explain my Journey. Oh I left out that in the begining I had no ill will towards MS and had bought my first Pc's with windows 2.8 (theirs a blast from the past, I still recall going into Bestbuy with $1 and the front page from my windows 2.8 manual and walking out with the windows 2.9 upgrade) preinstalled. The hating came later after witnessing some of the things MS did to rise to where it had been.
As I said im over it now lifes to short to waste so much of it hating so many, And it only wears you down and makes you a crazy bitter old fart with no life anyway.
Actually i bought three upgades of vista retail the forth was a free thank you from MS for my help in the Vista beta program. I got into the beta by responding to a web request for beta testers found a couple bugs easy and fullfilled the requirements for a free copy of vista. Bought 3 upgrades cheap enough to upgrade the other XP PC's in the house and the rest is history. Had to try the upgrade bug though to see if it would work, It does.

My fifth Vista came free of charge as well with my purchase of a compatable duo core toshiba laptop.
As for your bridge sorry I don't buy bridges its not my thang! And I don't condone smuggling so I won't assist you in that endevore either.
If however you wish to earn enough money to afford 5 PC's plus OS'es like I have might I sugjest becoming a Baker and joining the Bakers union. I fry donouts for Cub foods I don't earn as much as a journeyman Baker does but I make a good enough income Frying Donouts and im not even at the top payscale. Amount of college training 0% amount of money invested in training for my job 0$.

Because the OEM Vista tie's itself to the hardware and activate on any other peice of hardware IE new CPU or different motherboard if yours happens to go bad/die, Then you not only have to buy a new mobo but also a new OEM Vista.

The retail on the other hand and this includes the retail upgrade doesn't tie itself to the hardware and can be moved to a whole new machine with new cpu, mobo, memory, HD and DVD drive and still be reactivated.
I love my 4 retail vista's keeps me from spending out more every year when i upgrade my machine to new hardware

I would never trade my crackberry for an Iphone as it just doesn't compete with a blackberry.
The berries better on almost all levels and it allows background programs doesn't crash has no viral apps plus they don't have to pay the apple tax nor are they forced to be sold through the blackberry store.
The Iphone looks nice has a bigger screen that is touch sensitive but thats all it has over the blackberry but thoughs pluses are minused by the other stuff plus it's wired in battery memory etc...
It doesn't deserve my cash at this point though I would be willing to consider an Iphone if they fixed the aformentioned limitaions and antiquiated (noone needs wired in batteries and memory these days as they only hinder expandability) methods of production.
Ah yes but that is only because buisnesses find it cheaper to have things made outside the us by cheap foreign labor and ship it to the US.
The US has in the past and could easily again have all it's products made in the US using local materials though not quite as cheaply. And yes we owe that much money to other countries but in american money not franks or rubbles or pounds or even in euros. The only place that money can come back to is the US so it's not really a problem.
And oh yes least i forget the only reason the US owes that much money to begin with is because we spend it not on trade or anything like that but because we spend it on things like the iraq war securing the middle east and it's oil for the rest of the wolrd though god only knows why as all our oil comes from alaska canada and mexico. And their are the other police actions and things like paying bribes to countries like north korea to keep them from developing nukes and selling them to terroists who in your WTO trade embargo wouldn't have any way of getting them to the US so hey lets detonate them in as many eroupean cities as we can and carry on our fight that way.

Trade embargos have never worked against any country that was seriously beligerent, They didn't work on cuba or against korea or any other seriously beligerent nation even thought they didn't have the resources to go it alone and have their nation thrive. Look at cuba it is a small island nation that has had trade sanctions against it for 50 years and all it had to do to end them was oust castro but guess what they didn't castro had 50 years of thumbing his cigar smoking nose to the US and ends up retireing to write his book. And you think trade sanctions would work against a continental nation like the US with the resources it has at it's disposal???
Please your the one whos living in a dream world if you think for one moment the US would be hurt at all or even close to what thoughs other nations dependent on the US for food and medicnes that the US note the US supplies as humanitarian aid that no other country even tries to offer up. Supplies that would be cut off because your perccious WTO decided to stop because of the trade embargo (cant ship em if we can't trade).

Your the one who really needs to wake up and relize that many other countries are more dependent on the US than the US is on them. That and that the world would be a far worse place with your WTO and no us trade.

I am glad or rather saddened to hear your local sheriff feels that a warning is only required when he feels it's feasible. In your last situation as well is rediculase to offer up as well as in that case the offender knows already he's facing police as they pulled him over in police cars not in pickup trucks or vans etc. Theirfore the supect has foreknowledge and theirfore warning is not required if he comes out shooting.

The US is the only nation in the world that could be entirely self sufficent. The US doesn't need (want is another matter) trade with other nations, We have all the resources in country includeing oil if we choose to tap it that we could live just fine without trade.
Other nations on the other hand wouldn't do so well not without the resources of the US, Third world countries that depend on the grain belt of the US mid west for starters. Their would be a lot of people dropping dead in countries like darfur and eithieopia so it wouldn't be pretty.
So yeah lets see the WTO take on the responsibilty for that one by banning trade with the US.

Police officers go through regular training to keep their instincts sharp and have to pass a shooting range test with popup dummy targets as well as popup non targets were they have only a split second to decide between hostile and innocent. This is to train them to make thoughts kinds of snap judgments and prevent them from making the kind of dumbass mistake you are trying to imply in your analogy. Their is always the little kid popup with the toy laser gun or toy pistol and if the trainee pops him he's not going to graduate not with that kind of bad judgment.
Plus add to that the cop isn't supposed to fire his weapon at all not without at least uttering the words freeze police! or holt or I'll shoot!! That is supposed to not only give the cop extra time to make a good call if needed but to also inform the suspected purp that he is confronting a cop and his next action could cost him his life if he doesn't make the right choice here. Basically freeze/halt and do whatever the man with the badge and gun tells him to do. Any cop that would shoot an individual without at least giving warning would loose his badge real quick, I.A. (Internal Affairs ) would see to that.
As a police officer theirs no room for error they must be on their toes sharp and able to the snap judgment in such situations or they have no business wearing that badge at all!

Ok Athens didn't really have a true democracy, At first it was a democracy or "Demos" in name but was in fact in control of the rich and powerful but later it became a democracy by force if you will were everybody had to take part in the process or risk fines or being kicked out of the city. By stark contrast the modern US form of decision making is to let people vote or not which leads to a large majority now a days to not even bother to take part in the process and then grumbling and pissing and moaning about things afterwards and then saying why bother my vote doesn't matter anyway!
Of course not because so many people like you don't bother to even go out and vote to begin with or even bother to try and be informed at all.
