    I actually agree, I was at the fourth and sixth games against Deep Blue back in 1997 (look for me in Life's Year in pictures), and Yaz's commentary makes chess bearable to watch.

    I watched games three and four of this series and his commentary is more interesting than the game most of the time.

    I assume that by 12/02 you mean you started in dec of 2002? Dec 1st to today is ten months. Did you really mean Dec 2000?

    yes, I know that Airplane was based on Zero Hour! which has Arthur Hailey credited in the screenplay... Which was based on the teleplay "Flight into Danger" which was based on the novel.

    Oh, in NJ they are everywhere. Every single Hess station has a diesel pump. Over half of the fuel stations in NJ have diesel available.

    Er, the TVR 3000S was also drivable after it's collision test, but it need it's rad mended to drive for any distance. About 18 years before the F1. and about 200lbs lighter.

    BTW, The Maclaren F1 wasn't road legal after the impact, since it had to have it's headlights put back in :)

    close but no, The employee are not getting the software, the company is (ie. DOD.) It is not being distributed.

    Do you take your MS license keys when you quit your job? Nope, because the software wasn't distributed to you.

    It was the first or second edition of Discover, and I believe it was about Joe Newman, and he had some ideas about neuons, and something about "spin" The huge number of turns on the motor was worked in somehow. The Discover reporter made fun of him by calling the new particles "put-ons."

    I think it was a porsche 924 or 944 being powered by a single 9volt battery.

    hell, Men like useless stuff. Cars, radios, computers, stereo equipment, model cars, artwork... All sorts of things other people find useless, except the person who likes those things

    Firewire is more or less just the SCSI protocol over a serial interface.

    And what exact is SCSI in the first place? Isn't it "Small Computer Serial Interface"? And how would you put SCSI over a Serial Interface?

    Some admins would rather everybody keep their data on the server, where it's backed-up. Hence, no need for local storage...

    If I could drop $50 off every desktops cost, by getting a smaller drive, I would have saved $5000 last weekend.

    I'm very happy that you have 10 gig of mp3's. I'm also upset you aren't keeping them on a network drive somewhere... it would be a shame if something were to happen to them...
