Just for reference, I am 15 years old. Over the summer, I was bored. So I took a WD 10 gig and did this. works great to this day.
In an odd coincidence, My friend just asked me yesterday to mod his 7200RPM 80 gig barracuda. This drive is BRAND NEW (still in the static wrap) sitting right next to me as I type this. Personally, I think the hardest part of this whole mod was gluing (Did I spell that right? lol.) the plexi back onto the drive cover. If you have a little spare time and wanna do something crazy with those drives, try this. It was rather fun.
I had actually considered paying for this guide months ago. I looked into it, and everything looked legit. If you surf around on the forums, they actually have pics that people posted of their projectors and the building process. In the end, it does seem to look the same as or better than a commercial projector for a fraction of the cost.*
oh yes, it is obvious. I was just pointing that out for those who do not know the difference. Had I not said that, someone other than you (maybe) would have said something about it being distilled.
I'd just like to point out, H2O != H . They are using electricity to (drum roll, please) SEPERATE THE HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN IN (distilled, but nonetheless) WATER! The hydrogen then creates what can be referred to as 'cleaner ignition and exhaust strokes' of a 4-stroke motor. Less diesel is wasted (black smoke), Less nitro is exhausted into the air, more power (hp- and torque-wise) is created from the same amount of fuel, and excess energy from the alternator is put to use. more efficiency all around. This is no hoax, it is what seems to be a new trend in (in the words of our infamous commander in chief; cue drum roll) THE WAR ON UNSPENT REFINED OIL (AND ITS COUSINS).
I recently ran with Cedega under Mandrake 10.1. I had an Athlon XP-M 2600+ (OCed from 2.0 to 2.7), 512MB PC3200 RAM, and an nVIDIA GeForce 5700 128MB. All the games I can recall that I played were Need For Speed Underground 2, Warcraft III, Starcraft, and Quake III. Honestly, I saw no difference whatsoever PERFORMANCE-wise using Cedega. However, getting all games to work correctly all the time is another story. It wasn't a nightmare, but I did end up (much to my dismay) coming back to XP for all my needs. I must say, unless you are a diehard Linux fan and absolutely cannot be seen running Windows, stick with Microsoft's OS. In my experience with it and gaming, it just works. Linux needed sh1tl0ads of configuration and tweaking to get it to work right.
Say what you will Linux fanboys, it will get you nowhere. Until these games are DESIGNED to run on linux (thank you, id software), then I'm sticking with Windows. This is my experience, and until you try it for yourself, you will never know.
Charles county, eh? you think you need a solution for an eBook reader? I think your schools look rather nice compared to ours. Here at Chopticon (in St. Mary's, I'm a 10th grader there) our computers have clicky keyboards and turbo buttons. Can we have some of your money?
(DISCLAIMER: we don't actually need your money. everything here was said in a comical sense.)
I've been saying for years that we should be trying to/. US governement sites other than NASA!!! That, or Microsoft depending on what you dislike more.
I feel pretty confident in saying that 69% of all workers didn't perform above average, so why should they be expecting a reward?
I feel pretty confident in saying that average (by definition) is at the 50% mark. Does this not mean that 50% of all workers didn't perform above average?
Also, since some are around $400-$1200 I would like a comparison between these units and say an old Pentium I have lying around that runs linux (or windows for comparison) serving files.
He has a point. at a price like that, it may well be more cost-effective for many to get an upgradable network storage server. That's what I did with an old Dell Poweredge 4200 w/ dual Pentium 333s. It has 300 gigs of storage for my backups and seems to be cheaper than what they are suggesting.
I was rather hoping to read about other people's experiences with network storage, but nevermind. I can see that nobody else makes network backups here.
Quite honestly, I don't see the problem. What is the argument for seizine the governing of the I-Net from the USA? What have we done wrong? I know it's still working, as I am posting on Slashdot. So, out of the blue, The US of A is evil for governing that which is provided to all? Can someone explain what the problem with the current situation is?
In my opinion, the RIAA should not be allowed to target young minors with lawsuits, especially since most cannot afford to purchase music as it is, let alone have a credit / debit card to use legal services.
What? Is anyone forgetting the lady who got a credit card for her dog? [sarcasm]EVERYBODY has a card nowadays, and the court should recognize this.[/sarcasm]
They invented computers. about 100 years later, they were all nerds hiding in caves bootlegging MP3s and stealing wireless connections. Ahhh, the future of us.
you say that we are neglecting to do anything about fuel issues, eh? I am a ford guy. I am biased. But let's get past that for a second.
1. For is working on making many of their cars hybrid. The Escape can run hybrid, and there have been a few hundred prototype Rangers roaming the streets to great reviews.
2. The Dodge Hemi (at least in the charger) can shut off 4 cylinders to conserve fuel. I also hear that this is done with no noticable effects while driving. When you slam it to the floor, hte other 4 are supposed to kick back in without delay, providing instant V8 torque, but only when necessery.
3. we could just go back to the old formula. My dad owns a Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. This was a version of the T-Bird that came with a 2.3L four cylinder and a turbo, as opposed to the 5.0L V8. He loves driving the car to work. It was designed to have the same amount of power as the V8, but of course less torque. That's just how it is. But that's what he got the 04 Mach 1 for. Anyway, this car easily surpasses 30mpg in any driving. We took the car from Southern maryland to Daytona beach, florida on A SINGLE TANK OF GAS. even a civic (not hybrid) can't do that. Not to mention, this is a roomy 4 door sedan with the A/C running. The body was designed for a V8, but was able to run just fine with a four-banger, even surpassing some new cars.
[Just as a side note, I'm about to swap out a 2.3 4-banger in my fox mustang for the legendary five-o. There may well be a 7-liter chevy eater in the near future if i get another and use this as a project car. nothing against chevy, but a 427 in a car that small is just plain CRAZY QUICK.]

*Note I said seems.
When they figure out that I would prefer not to pay and adjust accordingly, then we're talkin.

Does this mean that I can find all the pr0n in existence at 127.0.0.1?......
3 Minutes later.....
Look! There it all is!!!

Just because you were (and I say still are) a great innovator in the world of gaming (namely FPS), doesn't mean your site can't be slashdotted.

When WPF/E becomes available, it will be in the form of an Active X control that can be embedded in applications or as browser plug-in.
Yep. Because we all know and love the concept of ActiveX.
We'll match what they do
Ha! I knew it! This whole time we were right about Microsoft's plan! Their only goal is to copy! (or buy, whichever is more economical)
I can do other things on my computer while it downloads patches. On a console, you get to stare at a progress screen until it's done. No good.
And this is why I choose to use PCs for most of my gaming - multitasking. In this world of free enterprise, you have that choice too.

Okay. so the sense of humor dropped to 0 today. oh well. try again tomorrow..... lol.

I thought everyone had cell phones nowadays....
