Anyone computer-savvy enough to be using firefox, downloading addons, making pet names, and then remembering to check won't be caught by a pisher anyway...
Having said that, it would help anyone who has an FNG (friendly neighbourhood geek) to install. Which is pretty likely, this is slashdot.
I wander if this whole thing is happening because of some pool that is going on in FBI HQ? We've all seen the thing:
"Hey, Al, I bet my department can get more arrests than yours in the next five years!"
"Oh, you are so taken, bitch!"
As a side note, that would also explain why I have, in the last month, been called up no less than 14 times about a large bill on my credit card.
Plasma costs, people!
Nah. A phone book has thousands of numbers, and only one is your dealer. A tracker is either the location of something you can download, or something you can't. Its more like getting arrested for creating a phone book that just has the number of your dealer in it.
And any way, who looks for their dealer in a phone book? I mean, half of those asses use fake names any way; there sure as hell ain't no "Tiger 12" in my phone book.
Actually...
No. There isn't. Although there does appear to be a dude called "PC Repair".
And another thing. Whats the difference between the yellow pages and the phone book anyway?
Hey, come on, they are a company, with their own interests. Sure, (software) patents suck, but since Nokia has them, they don't really need to give them away. In fact, they very probably would be sued by their shareholders if they just decided to give away a large part of the things that make them a special company...
And anyone computer-savvy enough to be using firefox, downloading addons, making pet names, and then remembering to check won't be caught by a pisher anyway...
Haven't we established that this doesnt work anyway?
I could swear that was what the last story on this was. Something about how every phisher will just make several sites anyway, and the massive problems with false positves... It's only real purpose is the nice feeling you get from reporting it, like spam.
Ah, well now, here you have broken one of the key rules of/.
In order to be a grammar Nazi, you have to either deliver a long and carefully written piece of prose detailing how and why the editors makde a mistake, and providing helpful tips for anyone else who is confused, or be horribly sarcastic b'y makin'g t'he mis'take aga'in and aga'in.
Calling them fuckos just doesn't cut it, I'm afraid.

Actually, that appears to no longer be the reason for the embargoes. It is all about keeping in power...
Think about it, how many Cubans have fled to the US, because they hated Castro? A sizeable number, I think there are about a million of Cuban origin there, and they all want to keep on punishing Castro with these sanctions. They will vote for whoever is most against Cuba. Now where exactly are they? Well, they couldn't have gone far, so what is the closest state to Cuba... why, Florida!
Now can anyone name a state where a million undecided voters really, REALLY matters?
Am I the only one who gets pissed off at these "head-to-head" comparisons that don't have the guts to announce a winner? I musta read about 20 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and one of them predicted a winner (PS3). I don't care if they are wrong, I just like an article to be concluded.
None of this "well, they are both good" crap.
I'm sorry, the whole "fee" idea just doesn't work for me...
What is to stop someone signing up for a whole load of mailing lists, and then claiming that they were all a waste of time? The only time anyone would not bother taking that cash is if there was someone they knew on the other end, getting pissed off.
Maybe the games won't, but what about the fabled Blu-ray movies? Perhaps this limit of 1080p is the limit of the Blu-ray platform. You know it makes sense...
Well, given that one of the most impressive tech demos for the PS3 is the opening scene of FFVII, it seems like Square's ties to Sony are still pretty strong.
Wouldn't that just benefit the companies again? I doubt application for copyright would be a simple process, so the only people that would harm are the ones who can't afford a lawyer to do that for them.
In the UK, and most of Europe, I think, it is technically illegal to put anything on an iPod unless you destroy the original after doing so. Otherwise you are copying copyrighted material, a crime punishable by slavery to the BPA for all eternity.
While I sympathize completely, being in the same position, isn't this what Blizzard is intending? They want these leaders to be the people to fear if you are on the other side, or idolize if you are their allies. You wouldn't get the epic set because you aren't the best. They don't want everyone to have the epic sets, no matter how long it takes, because then it wouldn't be a mark of authority.
I suppose it would make sense for them to offer some secondary reward that was accumulative... maybe discounts form shops, that sort of thing. Hell, I liked the idea of Warbucks!
Shouldn't be getting that many subscribers posting to this one; after all, they pay not to receive ads.
I know those words, but that sentence makes no sense...

Well, now you are just being silly... Its obviously hammer.

Someone who doesn't even know how to post a link is calling someone a n00b? Ah well, I guess sign-up date still counts for something.
What I want to know is what a law prof is doing chairing a scientific ethics commitee...
