Exactly what I was going for. Also, how is Dream Theater overrated? I could maybe see Rush, but commercial success isn't always overrated if it's actually good, is it? Oh, I forgot, this is/. oh well.
I enjoy blues, and I wasn't really attacking simple music, though it generally isn't my style. I enjoy Filk at times, as it is humorous, but I can't stand rap. Oh well, at least it isn;t country music and I still have excellent Karma! =D
I simply meant (not entirely seriously, but that obviously wasn't conveyed) that I found it amusing that nerds who are so infatuated with complexity seem to enjoy the simplest of musical genres.
You would think that nerds, who are supposedly intelligent, would choose music with real musical value, stuff like Rush or Dream Theater, or other non-manufactured musical types, even jazz or classical.
The advent of firefox has definitely been a good thing. For me at least, it not only is a good browser, but it has raised awareness, and subsequently usage of other alternatives. I no longer use firefox, as I switched to opera, but without Firefox and all that I loved about it i would have never known about other browsers (or/. for that matter, I was a tech n00b)
Jeremy Soule is the first to come to mind, and while I like Jesper Kyd's work, I think Soule is better. The music for Oblivion was so-so, but I think that the music in Morrowind is some of the best I've ever heard. It's amazing. Compare the Oblivion title and the Morrowind title and tell me that Morrowind's is not better.
I'm pretty conservative but you really shouldn't fuck around with the environment, even if you think/know you can't/won't harm it, as it's not exactly a renewable resource once its screwed. Let me put it this way, we'd get new oil before we'd get a new environment.
I only really got into RPGs until about 2 years ago, and only really have played Morrowind (My all time favorite) and KOTOR (also superb) I'll check it out.
For the most part, Oblivion's Radiant AI is more than I could have asked for. I love it that people have schedules and live out their own lives according to goals. Of course it has its rough edges, but it really is phenomenal. There is, however, one place it lacks more than others, and that is in combat. Sure, It's fine for a skill based RPG where split second decisions don't have the potential to turn the tide, but combat AI is something that only recently has really been stressed. There are far too few games where enemies actually plan out an attack and work as a team. Give me serious tactical processing in AI, plug it into a military shooter, and you've got me hooked.
Yeah, I live in Metro Atlanta and it can get very muggy here (although nowhere near as bad as Mobile Alabama) and several people I know from the north have said that in winter Atlanta is the coldest place they have been as it remains humid and the cold is much more biting and noticeable. My friends and I generally just kick back in the summers and game around the clock.
In all seriousness, I think that Oblivion should have been rated mature in the first place, but this is for bogus reasons. If it's not in the vanilla unmodded game why the fuck are they rating for it? ESRB, do you have an answer for me? It's also interesting to note that the ESRB usually overrates games, i.e. Halo and Halo 2 getting M ratings. All of the blood there is blue or fluorescent orange, and there's less than Oblivion.
Because most people already have word, and for those that don't, word file support is almost universal, and even when they cannot view word files there are innumerable small word file readers/filetype translators. As much as I love ODF that argument is worthless for the most part.
Dude, what a n00b!
Or Red Stripe. Boo poor spelling. Hooray Beer!

Hooray Tampons!!!
You're right, it's just not as appealing as beer.
At least someone has their head screwed on tight enough to realize that this is bullshit legislation. I'm glad we're not te only ones here at /.

Actually It's the end of the world in norse mythology, and that's where the game got the name from. Good game, though.
WHOOSH! on a kinder note, It is written in C/C++, it was just a joke.
Because GTK is fugly on windows and doesn't really work at all on OS X.
OOH, I know!!! Ragnarok!
That, my friend, is one of the most underappreciated movies. EVAR.
Exactly 42. Maybe 1337, but less likely.

True, I just recently got FarCry but I've been playing on Normal since it's my first time through, but theAI in that game is usually pretty smart.

Except for that whole Jesus dabacle which exists in Jewish, Christian, and Roman historical texts, amogn other events.
Best reply ever, and possibly the most levelheaded post on any site on the web.
