I don't know about Wikipedia specifically, and I'm past the point in school where teachers will accept anything as a reference other than a journal, but I believe MLA standard for any website includes the date accessed. The other option would be to list the permanent link to the version you used.
Does that club you're going to ever play corporate music? While you're waiting on the indie band? Other nights you boycott? They're taking money out of your cover to pay their license to do that, even if they're not playing it while you're there. And maybe you're listening to different bands than I am, but I've never seen an indie band that didn't play at least one cover.
Because the same people who are bright enough to use adblock are the ones who were making spur of the moment decisions to punch the monkey even when they did see ads. Right.
That depends entirely on what part of the world you're in. I was a Girl Scout. (While I have met a male Girl Scout before, no, I am not one.) Most of the world has Girl Guides. I believe the US may be alone in having Girl Scouts. (see http://www.wagggsworld.org/en/home)
My bank does, for one. Yes, I have bitched to them (and gotten a form letter in response) and am contemplating changing banks (although that is mostly because my rates are shit and it's a bitch to cash checks when I have to mail them to another state because my bank doesn't have any branches here.)
I expect it from Lower 48ers, but you live in Alaska and you don't know the difference between "the" pipeline (ie. the Alyeska Pipeline) and an infield pipeline? I'll give you a hint. The ones in the field are a lot smaller, and the damage is much less than it would be. I was astonished that happened, as a matter of fact, because I spent half my summer on the BP side of the North Slope, and I was always passing maintenance crews inspecting pipeline between camp and the rigs. GP is correct, the oil companies are much, much more environmentally conscious than they are given credit for.
(disclaimer: I interned for an oilfield services company last summer)
The entry does not cover other official flows (OOF) or private flows.
The problem here, is that the US has a history of promoting individual donations, rather than everybody paying the money to the government and then the government donating it. Individuals account for 3/4 of American donations. If we ignore corporate donations and assume that the other 1/4 is done by government, that's still enough to move us up 10 spots on your list and all of the sudden we're a lot more respectable looking.
GP's grammar was correct. Admittedly it probably should have been "'Brass tacks' is an object," but he is referring to the words themselves, not the tacks. As there is only one subject to that sentence, the verb is correctly singular.
Maybe the GP wants to actually get a signal. I use Sprint because I'm still leeching off my parents' plan, but there are places in the middle of Houston I can't get a signal.
OK, I can understand wanting a direct neural interface while running. I love it, myself, although I have been distressingly lax since I got to college and no longer have a team to train with, but I know many people hate it. Why would you want one while hiking, though? The whole point of hiking is nature. You might as well be on a stairstepper in the gym otherwise. At least there you could watch the news or something.
In reference to your question, however, I find the best times are when I can, and I've only managed this briefly, clear my mind of everything and just be. I've been bored running, but there's a difference and it's really relaxing sometimes to just not think about anything, important or mundane. On another note, I do some of my best thinking on long runs when I've got problems in my life. I find it's the best way to clear my mind short of beating the shit out of someone, and that's generally frowned upon in polite society (outside of a martial arts studio). It even beats chocolate as a pick-me-up (although I might be the only girl in the world to admit anything beats chocolate as a pick-me-up).
I am in favor of the right to bear arms, but it should be pointed out that a ban in a city has a lot different effects than a ban in an entire country. It's not terribly difficult to buy a gun in Virginia and take it to DC, where you know your victim won't have a gun. It's considerably more difficult to buy a gun somewhere and take it to the UK, as you have to deal with customs when coming in through legal routes. Obviously you will still get guns brought in through illegal means, but the barrier for entry is higher, resulting in fewer guns and higher prices when looking to buy one on the black market.
The US allows dual citizenship up to age 18. Upon turning 18 and legally reaching maturity, you are expected to choose one country or the other. If you can demonstrate you spend a fair amount of time in both yearly you can keep the dual citizenship, but it's not easy.
Are you kidding? That's the best thing about facebook. I'm sorry it kept you out, but it also greatly raises the barrier for creepy old men to get on, pretending to be college students.
Yeah, I bought one (my first woot!), crossing my fingers because there wasn't too much information out. After checking this out, I'm really glad I did.
You gave them your IP address when you used the page. They resolved it. Not difficult.

Until they randomly show up at your house one day for a spot check for just such things, spot it, and give you 30 days to get it off your property or pay the major rate increase for having one.

It wouldn't be taxable if they were paying him in imaginary money, but they're not. He's making a real profit no matter where the work is done.
Is it bad that the first thing that went through my head when I read that was "I certainly hope you need an ID to buy a rocket propelled grenade"?

I'm an American, and I wish they would.
That's bullshit. IE7 left all my default settings alone and generally behaved itself very well when I installed it.

I really dont think Kenneth Lay is going to get much out of rehabilitation classes any more.

Mildly off topic, I count 43 states in the US that have age of consent under 18, with some as low as 14. (http://www.avert.org/aofconsent.htm)
Amen, brother. I've learned to open the page and go read Slashdot for about several minutes before even bothering to check the page again.

Where in NC are you? Every time I visit UNC there's a protest going on. And that's when school is out.
